Went in for a snack and coffee today after cleaning our boat at the marina. The people who work here are outstanding. I love how kind they are and they’re so sweet to my 6 year old. Coffee and sweets are so good and they gave my daughter extra marshmallows on the side with her hot chocolate just to make her day. Such a great place. Thank you guys for making our day brighter!

I came to antique store just for browse around but ended up i had a coffee at Mercantile Coffee Company. The smells from the oven made me decide to stop by. It’s was very tempting :).
My husband ordered Candy Cane Latte (espresso and peppermint bark), and for myself i ordered Late It Snow (white chocolate, white coffee and salted caramel) and Vegan scone (apple, cinnamon and brown sugar).
Honestly, i had no idea why i chose Let It Snow because i’m not a fan of white chocolate and salted caramel. Fortunately, no regret at all! These three combination made the drink so unique which i couldn’t describe further more. Fantastic!
I’m a sweet tooth, so it was hard for me to choose selection of bakeries.
I picked vegan scone because i think this is something different. Once again, i did a perfect choice. Scone was delicious, soft and freshly baked.
Sitting there and having a drink in autumn or winter hit a different feeling. It’s so cosy and very relaxing.
I’ll definitely come again in near future.

I was looking for a chai tea, and the barista recommended a spice chai. Originally, I was thinking I’d get it ices but since I was taking the ferry, a warm chai sounded better. It was delicious! I’m glad I stopped by before hopping on the ferry. The warm cup kept my hands warm on a cold morning as we crossed over the bay.

Update after 2 years…baked goods still top notch. Latte average. Service is average. (Dude get off your phone!) 30% surcharge for credit card use? Not cheap so no thank you Merc you are outplayed in Port Orchard.
Update… just perfect from beverages to baked goods + service with a geniune smile every time. PO of u haven’t tried??? Some upgrades from previous cafe. Set up is good with good options and seating/,tables. The muffin is AMAZING could NOT be better. Coconut latte a little too hot but good. Service excellent…
Update the next week hot spiced cider with Chai and Tuscan scone for the win. Try this with busy but wonderful service and there is no going back to the others.
Update the next week. Consistent excellence all the way around by the water in PO… seriously game changer for this town. No need to go elsewhere

White Chocolate was extremely hot and yes I was warned. Couldn’t taste the white chocolate. We waited for coffee before we realized it was sitting on the counter waiting for us to pick-up. It wasn’t very busy and they could have told us the coffee was ready. Place is cute and baristas was very nice.

I am a regular here at the Mercantile and I can assure you that this is one of the best coffee stops in port orchard. Coffee is amazing, the service I’d FABULOUS, and the employees are so friendly that I’ve come to know a lot of them personally 🙂 I strongly suggest coming here

My new favorite place to meet friends for coffee – not just for the atmosphere but especially for the lattes! For their espresso, they use a locally-roasted, medium custom blend, and it’s easily the best in Kitsap. <3
