I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

From the atmosphere, to the decor, to the flavors of the foods. Everything is excellent.

Never have I had such flavorful lamb chops and such tasteful condiments to go with it.

These lamb chops were so good, I had to break them down and get every little bit of meat, fat, and cartilage.

I highly recommend the lamb chops, not to mention the soup that I was served as an appetizer was absolutely marvelous.

I had a great experience at this place. The service was professional, friendly, and very welcoming from the moment I arrived. The staff were attentive and handled everything efficiently. The quality exceeded my expectations, and the overall atmosphere was clean and comfortable. I truly recommend this place and will definitely visit again.

The lamb soup tasted only like black pepper, their tea cup cracked when tea was poured and the meat was overcooked, dry and burnt. When all this was told to the server, they did nothing about it just stared at us each time. We even had to ask them to bring us a different cup for the tea. They weren’t apologetic or helpful at all. And the only thing that tasted okay were the fries and rice. Stuff that was offered (bread and hummus) was forgotten to be brought out. Just a really bad and disappointing experience.

The decor is wonderful, very relaxing atmosphere. Not sure about the plastic on the tables, though. Seems odd considering how nice the tables look without it and the lovely design of the rest of the place. Even the restrooms are nicely decorated.
The booths will seat 6 and the tables from 6-20.
Based on the amount of Arabic (I assume) that was spoken by other diners, and the looks of satisfaction on their faces, it seems quite popular with those who know the cuisine.
Service is slow and disjointed. One person stopped to get my order just as I sat down. I asked for a few minutes to look at the menu but did request a glass of water. About 5 minutes later, a different person came by to take my order, then brought the drink.
I inquired with him about the shawarma I saw advertised on the front door. It is not listed on the menu, no sandwiches are. He said they have them, so I ordered one and a fattoush.
A note: if you have just two sizes of something, neither can – by definition – be medium.
My fattoush arrived, along with some condiments. No idea what the condiments are for, never had them show up at any other place. I was able to finish it comfortably before the shawarma arrived. Awesome.
The shawarma is probably the most flavorful I had around the Metro area.
There was some delay getting my bill when I finished, too. After 5 minutes, I just headed to the front without it, I needed to get back to work.

It was my great pleasure to be at this restaurant. Thanks to my friend for recommending and hosting in this amazing place. The food was very tasty. The Mazbi Mendi was very tasty and the Chicken was well prepared. The salad quantity was very nice. Sheesh tauq was less in the quantity but taste was good. I loved the tandoori roti as well

Absolutely amazing experience! The Mendi was perfectly cooked — tender, flavorful, and infused with authentic Yemeni spices that make every bite unforgettable. The rice was fragrant and rich, and the portions were generous. The atmosphere feels warm and traditional, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. If you love real Middle Eastern food, this place is a must-try. Easily one of the best Yemeni Mendi spots around

We walked in in the atmosphere is very nice. We got a booth. It seemed like the staff was confused on who was gonna be our waiter and then it took a long time for the waiter to come. They had to go to the kitchen several times to find the person before they came out. The food ended up being good service was slow. One weird thing was the hostess staff and management staff stood behind the front counter and kind of stared at customers eating while you were enjoying your food and that felt kind of uncomfortable. The flavors were very good for both food and drinks.

Terrible, terrible, terrible. If i could out no stars i would..Please take the time to read this review. First of all the waitress came and asked us what we wanted, never once did she ask us what we would like to drink. Waited over 25 minutes just for her to bring the salad out, I ordered hummus and had to ask where it was after waiting over almost 30 minutes, the hummus was terrible. It wasn’t even the right color had no taste. After waiting 1 hour for my food I finally asked for a water with the food, she never asked if my husband would like something to drink. When I asked what was taking so long for the food she assured me it was coming and it would need 10 more minutes because it was being cooked fresh. When I finally received it, it was cold to the touch the rice was very dry. Some other guy came to my table and asked me how was it I asked him to feel it. Cold to the touch. He apologized and said he would fix it ( he threw it in the microwave and added some burnt onions on top and brought it back to me. My husband had to wait another 15 mins for his food so as we are sitting there waiting for his food it finally came he ate a couple bites and said he was ready to go. I drove over 1 hour to come to this restaurant just to get some microwaved food.very disappointed . Note to the owner please train your staff better and if you dont have fresh food let the people know so they can order something else. $65 down the drain

Our server Zahraa was very sweet making sure we were good and the food was out on time she recommended us to get lamb Mendi and it did not disappoint, it was our first time and we didn’t know what to get. We also got Turkish haneeth .Meat was very tender. I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area. Will definitely be back.
