We had a really great time having breakfast here! Came for the first time and had the southern eggs benedict which was so delicious – great sauce and the fried potato cake added a great texture to the dish. I also got the bread pudding for dessert and it was heavenly – I would absolutely come back just for this.

Definitely not what I remember from my favorite restaurant when I lived here 20 years ago. My chicken was burnt, my corn was barely warm and flavorless, and my lemon thyme dressing that I used to come here for was watery and barely any on the plate. The chunky mashed potatoes were delicious! The bartenders were friendly and fabulous with excellent service though, and I love that they kept the retro vibe. The entrance could use some signs outside the front door that are inviting and welcome people in so they know it’s the entrance.

I could not have enjoyed my dining experience more than what Memphis Cafe provided. I live in The South, so I might know something about Southern food. I was visiting family in Southern California when I found this incredible restaurant. The building is very unassuming and I was not sure I was at the correct location. The interior tells a very different story. There is nothing cliche about Memphis Cafe. There are no silly Southern stereotypes. The establishment is very nicely decorated and features some of my favorite color schemes. By no means does it come off as chic or snobby. But definitely beautiful and comfortable.

My partner and I walked over to Memphis Cafe from our place with our pup and received great service and great food. Perfect if you want to come here for brunch or for dinner. We were craving pancakes for dinner. They turned on the patio heaters and we enjoyed the back to ourselves. Our pup even enjoyed bacon and eggs for her dinner. They brought her a bowl of water and checked in on us regularly. We also ordered the banana bread that was 10/10, had fresh whipped cream and berries it was warm and comforting.

I’ve never really craved Southern food before, but been here several times to get Memphis Cafe’s delicious chicken and waffles! Located next to The Lab Antimall, it boasts no wait on a weekend morning, friendly service, and a very homey dining experience. What more could you ever need? If the weather is nice, I enjoy sitting on the back patio since the interior is small. Come try out this delicious local restaurant!

What a fun place with great food. Small inside so make a reservation for those tables. A small bar too. Friendly staff made sure drinks were full and we had everything we needed. Close to everything so easy to stop by. We went for a pre show dinner. Excellent.

I love the retro style of this Cafe work/restaurant as like a whole 70’s lounge or bar or little dive bar that they’ve turned into this nice little spot the food is actually not bad the chicken sandwich was very delicious the fries are skinny fries so know that before you walk into it in the breakfast plates look and taste delicious you would really have a good time eating and trying this place out

We like the comfort food with a Cajun twist. There’s always a chef’s special, and eating at the bar is fun. Great service always. Staff are the best!
