I visited Portland for the weekend and I’m so glad I stopped by Mémoire Cà Phê on NE Alberta St! The vibe is super cozy and the menu is such a creative take on Vietnamese-American brunch. We ordered the Matcha Waffle with Fried Catfish and the Chia Pudding, and both were incredible. The flavors were unique and perfectly executed. It’s definitely a standout spot in the Alberta Arts District—I’ll be back for sure next time I’m in the area!

Cute little spot on Alberta to have breakfast/brunch. I read some of the other reviews ahead of time so I knew that the space would be smaller, but it was actually really nice to be an intimate setting like that. The staff was very kind too. We got the Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk, ube donut, and the breakfast bowl with fish gravy bacon. The coffee was a little strong for me I wished it was a tad sweeter. The donut was amazing! I loved how chewy it was and had such a strong Ube flavor. The bowl was delicious. My mom and I were a bit sensitive to the smell but when we got past that it was great. The crispy garlic and the thick bacon were standouts for me.

Hands down one of the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had! I ordered the burrito with steak sausage, and the crunchy hash browns inside took it to another level of absolute perfection. Every bite was packed with flavor. The peaches and crème matcha was the cherry on top of an already bomb breakfast. The cinnamon roll was delicious too! I loved everything about this place and can’t wait to come back!

Food: 4/10
Service: 9/10
Atmo: 6/10
Overall: 5/10
Spice warning ⚠️ it was a Lot spicier than I expected, especially for breakfast.
I thought the fish sauce bacon was tasty, but it wasn’t “American bacon” but thin pork belly (I understand it’s the same cut/area)–it was the best thing. The biscuits were just OK, a little dry. Gravy was good with lots of flavor. The hash browns were inedible: stale, chewy, not crispy. Neither of us ate ours. Given we couldn’t eat a third of our meals is the reason for the low score.
Service: 9/10 only interaction was ordering at the counter. He was very professional. I would have appreciated someone checking in or noticing that we couldn’t eat the browns.
Atmo: very small space & crowded

Incredible, one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had!! My wife’s shrimp and egg dish was amazing as well. Definitely get both the chili oil and their ginger sauce on the side. The ginger sauce was out of this world. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Oh and the coffee was damn good as well.

we got the salted pandan matcha, and the peaches and cream matcha to drink. food-wise, we tried the shrimp omelette and the sando (with beef sausage). we loved everything, but especially the salted pandan matcha. super cute space, but pretty small, so i wouldn’t bring a large group inside. service was very quick, and everyone we interacted with was friendly! will be returning, as the pandan matcha flavor has cemented itself in my memories.

I ordered the shrimp omelet, and it had a unique Vietnamese twist- something I’ve never tried before. The flavor combination was so special and surprisingly delightful.
I highly recommend this dish, especially with their signature ginger sauce. So comforting and flavorful.
Paired with a warm cup of coffee, it was the kind of brunch that quietly makes your day better.

The fish sauce bacon sando. Get it. Also don’t miss the baked goods to balance out the sweet and savory! Solid house coffee (mellow, medium roast), espresso standards and seasonal options (spiced apple latte, or pumpkin spice if you must). Tables, window counters and takeaway. Fast and friendly order-at-counter service. Fair pricing for quality eats.

Wow! First time here and wow! A different spin on brunch, unique flavors and spin to traditional items. I meant to take photos of the beautiful food when it came out, but it was so good I forgot. The ube pancake was delicious as was the mushroom burrito and everything else we’ve ordered.

The food here is incredible! Their menu changes but their take on the Asian influence is very much there. They have espresso drinks, speciality drinks, and pastries. You can either sit or take out. Sitting down can be challenging in a small restaurant space. Makes for a quaint relaxed setting. I recommend coming on a weekday.
