Memaws Diner

Been coming for years never had an issue until now. Looks like they cut back on their food portions but still charge the same (look at the amount of chicken I received). Just only a couple months ago they were served in a bigger box filled with a very good portion of chicken not that baby size. On top of that I ordered for a toss salad no dairy, but croutons were left on, and when I asked for it to be remade was told no “they made how, how they’re suppose to make it sorry” then I proceeded to ask even if I buy a breakfast you can remake it? She replied with “no sorry” I said “oh okay thank you anyways” then she said “yup bye” will not be coming back ever again.

This place is under new ownership and already feels like home, because it pretty much is. You don’t just come here to eat, you come to learn everyone’s name, get a good laugh, and sit awhile.

Lindsay, the new owner, will bend over backwards and then some to make sure you’re happy. Want her scratch-made cinnamon rolls? Bless your heart, yes you do. Craving her chicken crack soup? Go on and indulge. Got opinions about how your breakfast potatoes are cut? The cooks will make it happen without batting an eye.

The servers, Kelly and Katie might not mind if you mix up their names, but bless their hearts, they do mind enough to learn your drink and bring it to you before you even ask. Whether you’re stopping in for breakfast or staying for the conversation, this is the kind of place you feel good supporting because this is exactly how a little local spot ought to be.

Stopped in on a sunny Wednesday. Server got us our drinks while we browsed the menu. Lot of choices! Settled on a gyro and my friend got a reuben. Gyro meat was super tender with a healthy bit of tatziki. Friend reuben had lotsa corned Beef and kraut, which made her happy. We both want to go back and try something else.

This is a truly amazing place with great food, great people (staff and customers) and a fun atmosphere…portions are sizable…they get busy at the usual times a diner gets busy but every one chips in and it’s like hanging out with family.
You’d have to try real hard to not enjoy yourself.

Sims Cafe is a delightful small family restaurant that consistently delivers fresh, delicious meals. Their Greek salad with chicken is a standout, with the chicken always cooked to order, ensuring a perfect bite every time. The gyro sandwich is also a must-try, flavorful and satisfying. Classic little diner with great prices and excellent food – 10/10. Coffee was standard rancid diner coffee, though.. Server was friendly and competent. Good parking. Wallplugs at every table and good wifi. I made a mistake and they DO have breakfast sandwiches. Would come again.
