I don’t like that people will only give a place 5 stars if the place is huge with “fancy lights and disco balls” for a restaurant. If you’re like me you are very appreciative of small restaurants with a very homey atmosphere. The people that ran this small cafe were absolutely amazing. They were kind and very helpful since we came in out of state. They have home cooked meals there that are made fresh after you order them and they don’t come in a package like a lot of other large scale restaurants. It quite literally feels like your Grandma is making food for you and its a very calm, happy-homey environment!!!

GREAT cafe!!! The young couple who run and/or own the place are fantastic– super nice people. The food was perfect, coffee plentiful, and fellow patrons were engaging. Go here if you like small diners and good company. I had the scrambled eggs, which are a low-carb option, loaded with sausage, bacon, green peppers, tomatoes, and cheese. They were well-prepared, appropriate portion size, and high quality ingredients. My partner had the breakfast burrito and said it was exactly what he wanted. We saw someone else order the biscuits and gravy– large portion, fluffy biscuits, and thick gravy.

A very cozy place to get some quality Southern comfort food.
Today, I enjoyed one of the most perfectly cooked chicken fried chicken platters ever. Complete with white gravy.
This isn’t fast food; it is good food for a price that, pound for pound, is cheaper than the chain restaurants in our area.
If you haven’t tried them, you’re missing out!

Classic American food, friendly service and most importantly: delicious home-cooked, hand made meals. Well worth a quick detour from the interstate, good breakfast and affordable.
