We love chef family owned restaurants. This one did not disappoint! Fresh and delicious locally sourced food with vegetarian and vegan options. Reservations are recommended. Clean, modern decor in historic building. Friendly, welcoming staff who are excited to serve you! They support local artist and crafters and the music was a perfect addition to our dinner experience. We look forward to our return. Thank you.

This is hands down one of the top restaurants in Gettysburg. If it’s not on your list yet then you haven’t had the distinct pleasure of eating there. Every month they rotate their menu to keep in line with what is seasonally available and Chef Jason, graduate of Johnson and Whales culinary school, delivers award winning levels of flavor with each plate that comes out. All the while, his beautiful wife Nicole serves up hospitality and friendship. They have a great staff and team to include Kylee and Sous Chef Joel, and whatever Chef’s formula is, you will not be disappointed. Consistently delicious every time. And I don’t mean like “oh that’s a nice hamburger.” I mean like “wow that’s an incredible flavor combination I hadn’t thought of! How can I replicate this at home?” I can not express how much better this food is compared to anything else you will find in the area. If you are a tourist visiting you need to put this on your must do app. I tell everyone I know to come eat here and when we have friends in town, this is our first night out that we eat at. Best to call ahead and reserve a table. It is BYOB. All the food pairs nicely with Adams County Winery wine. We have tried multiples. MUST S EE, MUST TRY. This place is an absolute gem.

First time here. Not only did the wonderful owners open an hour early to accommodate our world christmas party but the service was out of this world. The server which also happened to be the Co owner and wife of the chef was truly a delight and you could tell she was truly passionate about the food and the people she was serving. The food was out of this world. Even things I would never try I tried and loved. Can’t wait to go back and try more.

Upon coming in that atmosphere is so inviting. The staff makes you feel right at home. My partner and I came here from Maryland and damn did we pick the right place for brunch. I ordered the salted caramel apple pancakes and these are the best pancakes ive ever had. Im a chunky monkey so pancakes are my jam and this place is the bomb.com

The flavors! Every dish was delicious, and each was so unique. Love that the menu is seasonal and locally sourced. They were happy to simplify the pancakes to be more kid friendly. The self-serve brunch coffee wasn’t a highlight, and there wasn’t decaf, but the food more than made up for it. This goes on the family favorites list.

What a perfect place! We loved our original meals, along with the amazing service and lovely, relaxing atmosphere. We WILL return on our next visit to Gettysburg, which may be inspired next time by just thinking about the menu and memories!

Absolutely perfect. Very intimate setting. Food was probably the best meal I’ve had in years. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Beautifully plated but not over the top with useless garnishes and finishes that some restaurants will do. The husband and wife are amazing and they put their blood sweat and tears into this place. We were just passing through to see Gettysburg and this place deserves its 5 star rating! Chef Jason, do not stop, whatever you do.

My friends opened a restaurant in Gettysburg about 5 months ago, and I finally got to go say hi and see it!

I already knew the food would be delicious because this is not their first rodeo.

I love the ambience! And they really are such great, warm and welcoming people! Jason is a talented chef, and Nicole is the perfect addition to the front of the house welcoming in guests.

I had the Cajun Shrimp and Crab salad sandwich lunch feature.

We’re visiting from North Carolina, and crEATe @ 48 was hands-down one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had! The flavor combinations, the freshness of the ingredients, and the creative presentation made every dish unforgettable.

I ordered the Peach Salad, and it was absolute perfection with fresh peaches paired beautifully with whipped basil ricotta, greens, red onion, toasted pecans, and a delicious blueberry vinaigrette. Light, summery, and bursting with flavor.

My son had the Beef Short Rib, which came with squash, zucchini, roasted potato hash, and chipotle BBQ sauce. The meat was fall-apart tender, and every element on the plate was thoughtfully prepared and seasoned.

We also shared the Roasted Corn Bruschetta with Lump Crab Meat, served on mango chili sourdough with whipped chipotle chèvre, corn and pepper bruschetta, cotija, cilantro, and lime zest. It was next-level delicious!

Though we were completely stuffed, we couldn’t resist ordering the Peach Cheesecake (made with fresh local peaches by a local pastry chef) to go. It was the perfect treat to enjoy later and absolutely worth it.

What made our visit even more memorable was Nicole’s extraordinary service. She was warm, knowledgeable, and attentive without ever being overbearing. Her passion for the menu and the local ingredients truly elevated our experience. She made us feel right at home.

crEATe is a gem in Gettysburg. Chef Jason is top-knotch and his dishes are creative, locally inspired, and completely satisfying. We’re already talking about coming back next time we’re in town…if not again tomorrow for lunch. Highly recommend!

A Hidden Gem in Gettysburg – A BYOB Dream with Unforgettable Flavor!

We stumbled upon this absolute gem in Gettysburg and wow — what a find! From the moment we walked in, the cozy, welcoming vibe set the tone for what turned out to be one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time.

We ordered the Short Rib and the Berry Salad, and both were out-of-this-world delicious. The short rib was fall-apart tender, rich, and bursting with flavor — the kind of dish you can’t stop talking about even days later. Perfectly balanced with whatever slow-roasted magic they’re working in the kitchen. And the berry salad? Refreshing, vibrant, and so thoughtfully crafted. The fresh berries, crisp greens, and a hint of tangy dressing created the perfect contrast to the richness of the rib. It’s not just a salad — it’s an experience.

What makes it even better? It’s BYOB! We brought our favorite bottle of wine and were able to enjoy a truly elevated dining experience without the typical markup. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home.

If you’re in or near Gettysburg, do not miss this spot. Whether you’re a foodie or just looking for an intimate night out with amazing food and your favorite drink in hand — this is the place. We’ll be talking about this dinner for a long time and will absolutely be back.
