Great Chicken Club, but overpriced for “Fast Food” vibes
I’d rank my visit to Melt Weltwich as a solid “okay.” It’s the kind of place you try once to see what the hype is about, but I’m not sure I’ll be rushing back given the price point.
The Tattooed Chicken Club was hands down the best thing on the menu. It was very tasty and definitely the highlight of the meal.
The Monster Melt honestly tastes almost identical to a Jack in the Box burger, but you’re paying a much higher premium for it.
I tried the Classic Hot Mess Fries. They were good, but not “order them every time” good. Once was enough.
The service was. . . quiet, direct and to the point, no frills. My biggest gripe was the soda fountain being out. Having to choose between a bottled Pepsi or Dr Pepper felt a bit limited for a specialized melt shop.
If you’re nearby and want a really solid chicken club, give it a shot. But if you’re just looking for a burger fix, you might as well hit the Jack in the Box drive-thru; it’ll taste about the same and save you a few bucks.

1st time to this location. The staff were kind and the main part of the restaurant was clean. The bathroom needed attention but they were prompt to address it.
Everything is made to order and fresh. I had the classic grilled cheese (Tuesday special) and the caramel shake. Both were good and filling. Prices are comparable to other restaurants in the area.
It was nice that they offer a military and student discount.
I look forward to going back and trying other items.

Hot fresh melt perfection. 5/5 on everything. The music is playing at a pleasant volume. Food takes a few minutes, but well worth it. The ratios of veggies to cheese is just right. I’m a fan.

The atmosphere when you enter is great. Laid-back, a hand full of tv’s for different options to view while you eat. Music isn’t crazy loud but enough to add some good energy into the space. The staff isn’t very engaging but is polite and efficient. The food is good, my favorite was the Tattooed Chicken Club, the persto grill chilled cheese combo was great. The Moster Melt had good flavor for those willing to get their hands a little messy. The Hot Mess Fries is a accurate description of the item, a little bit of a hot mess, good flavor but the gravy is a little to much on the fries, however the cheese curds are the redeeming quality, fresh chunks on the top, gooey chunks in the middle, great flavor mixture and I’m not a brown gravy fan.

My son and I just went and the service was amazing! They offered recommendations if needed. I can’t remember the name of my melt but it was delicious!! Everything was fresh!! The fries were nice and crispy!! My son swallowed his burger before I could get a picture but he said we will have to come back again!! Definitely agree!

I tried the Grilly Steak and the Chipotle Steak Fries. Personally, I liked the fries more—they come loaded with toppings, though I think they could use a bit more meat to balance everything out. The cheese was tasty, just wish it was a little more melted.
The Grilly Steak, on the other hand, felt a bit dry. There was so much cheese that it overpowered the steak I could barely taste the meat. Maybe less cheese or more steak would help, and a good sauce could bring it all together.
They do serve alcohol, which is nice, but the meals feel a bit pricey for what you get, especially since drinks aren’t included. There are about 28 seats inside, but the layout is kind of awkward probably due to the limited space.

I recently visited Meltwich Food Co. in Rice Village, and it’s a new favorite! The grilled cheese on sourdough was perfectly golden with gooey cheese, and the poutine was indulgent and flavorful. The owner’s kindness and personal menu recommendations made the experience even better. I’ll definitely be back—this spot is a must-try for comfort food and great service!

Brought the siblings here to watch the NBA playoffs and have dinner. We got the classic Meltwich with grilled chicken/ melt sauce and the spicy steak hot mess fries! Both were absolutely delicious, our family also ordered the lemon pepper wings and burgers which were yummy as well (we even ordered a second round of the wings). Definitely a fun spot to eat and enjoy the game! Highly recommended if you’re wanting to try poutine and fries ☺️

The food we got from here was so, so bad. I want to save someone else from having to throw away their meal like we did.
We went inside this location and ordered our food to go. Service was eh. Not good but not bad. Restaurant seemed clean.
We got fries, tator tots, a mega melt, and a southern fried chicken melt.
The fries and tator tots were both incredibly soft (in a bad way) and flavorless. I tried putting them in the air fryer and adding salt but that couldn’t save them. Horrible.
The chicken melt had an okay taste but had soggy, hot lettuce and random vegetables on it. They put the vegetables on the sandwich and then put it in the panini press or on the griddle or however they cook it. I’m not sure if that’s how the sandwich is supposed to come, but it’s awful. The texture of hot, gooey lettuce is never something I enjoy, personally.
The mega melt was so bland I had to laugh. Terrible food. You’d have to actually try to make something so tasteless. I’m impressed. The photo is of the chicken melt. I did eat some. But we threw everything else away. Waste of $38.
