DIXIE is def the server to have at the melting pot! Last night November 7th, 2025, my husband and I went to the melting pot for our 4 year anniversary. We got their 50th anniversary 4 course meal! We go every year and always have a pretty good experience BUT last night was wonderful! We had a server named DIXIE in Tallahassee Fl! At first I was unsure how the night was gonna go. But she came back to the table and she was above amazing. She had us laughing and giving us pointers on the sauces and everything. Every-time we have been the servers we had in Destin Fl were good but to the point. Dixie talked to us like we known each other and treated us as we were her only customers when we in fact were not! When we go back next year I hope she is still there bc that’s def the server I would love to use every year that we go!

Have to say it love the food here and me and my husband go alot because of it but past 3 or 4 times we have been the service is been super slow and not great at all. We just went this past Friday night. Was not busy at all yet our waitress kept disappearing and taking forever to comeback. I order a drink from the bar and didnt get it until the second course. Would have loved another one however she never even asked if I wanted something else to drink or another one. Sat 30 mins between getting our salad and staring at a boiling pot of broth which was almost evaporated by the time we got the food to put in it. Then disappeared again. She stated it was the kitchen staff being slow which may have been but that had nothing with offering something else to drink or even checking on us. Time before this was ot any better either. Also disappearing staff and had to hunt someone down to get services while others around us was getting their food quickly and being checked on. The manager was walking around but when we tried to get his attention he would walk the other direction. Like I said this is one of my favorite places to eat but the service is going down hill quick.

The food was five stars, the atmosphere was great and if I could rate the service much higher, I would.
My wife and two of my friends surprised me with a delicious dinner, and our server was in on the surprise (a Publix birthday cake). She even lit the candles! Don’t worry, we gave the kitchen a slice of cake.

We’ve been to The Melting Pot in Atlanta quite a few times but it has NOTHING on Tallahassee. Our server Race was absolutely amazing. He made the whole experience 10X better. He gave us a few recommendations that ended up being our new favorite. He was so personable and made Tallahassee our new favorite location. We will definitely be back for our anniversary.

You need to call ahead and reserve your seats. We did. We were seated almost as soon as we arrived. Great server. She was polite and got us everything we asked for and wanted. Food was good. And the place was clean. 1-18-22 We went back. Still made reservations. It was awesome.Food was great. Service was perfect. The gentleman was polite. Even though we stayed until an hour after they closed.

Came for my birthday dinner but little did I know this is a 4 hour ordeal. Our reservation was at 630 and at 930 we asked for our check and to skip the chocolate because we could not stay longer with the young children we had with us. We did the whole 4 course crap and each course took an hour to come out… remind you they don’t even cook it for you!! Horrendous will never come back and will tell my friends the same. Birthday dinner ruined thanks melting pot
