Excellent bar/grill/leisure venue

Set in an expansive courtyard, Mel’s is one of those hidden gems you can walk past a dozen times without ever noticing.

Yet once you step through the gate, you’ll find a warm welcome, great food, cold beer, and all kinds of available activities, including a lare pool, a pickleball court, pingpong tables, pool tables, and more.

Populated by a friendly, eclectic crowd of expats, Mel’s is the perfect place to while away a warm, sunny afternoon.

Kinda strange setup. Mostly a social club so when went there for food Sunday afternoon place was empty. Took several minutes to find the bar area where they serve food. Google showed a tuna dish only a week ago but was only a special so not available. Had two average tasting shrimp tacos and couple cheap cold beers. Service was good as no one else came. I’d pass on coming for just the food, but if want to play pickle ball probably be better.

Another great Birthday event at Mel’s Casa Social. Thanks again Mel, Bianca and all of your wonderful staff. Everyone had fun, the food was delicious (Best Avocado Toast I’ve ever had!!!) and playing the games was like being a kid again. Love Mel’s Casa Social…Love Mel & Bianca and all of her staff. A most friendly relaxing place to play pickeball, swim , and, dine. The food is excellent in my opinion. It is not typical bar food. Healthy delicious meals with an ever changing menu. The teriyaki salmon and shrimp scampi are my favorites.

Great place to spend time socializing. Many activities going on throughout each week it seems. The chicken burrito was outstanding and the smash burgers were also pretty good. The food prices and specials seem unbeatable compared to other places Lakeside I’ve been to.

Food was excellent! Fried pickles, shrimp and barbacoa tacos, and burger were all awesome. Played pickle ball for the first time in years. Super fun! Pool looked inviting as well. Staff were also very friendly! Already planning to come back on Monday for some pickle ball lessons. Love this place!
