Excellent customer service. This is the only McDonald’s drive-thru I have visited where they serve you with patience and friendliness. The food is great, and the restaurant interior is very clean, but the drive-thru service is truly outstanding.

I am writing to express my concern and disappointment with the ongoing poor food quality and lack of professionalism at the McDonald’s located at 330 W 29th St, Hialeah, FL.

For context, I am 65 years old and work a late-night shift. After work, this particular McDonald’s is the closest to my home—only 0.3 miles away—making it the most convenient option. However, due to repeated negative experiences, I now find myself driving to other McDonald’s locations farther away simply to receive decent food and respectful service.

Here’s a quick comparison of the three nearby stores I frequent:

1. 330 W 29th St – 0.3 miles from my home

2. 1101 W 49th St – 1.6 miles from my home

3. 3350 W 18th Ave – 1.8 miles from my home

The three stores are within just 2.2 miles of each other, essentially serving the same neighborhood and customer demographic. Yet, the level of quality and service between them could not be more different.

At 330 W 29th St, the issues are consistent and ongoing:

Food Quality: Fries are either soggy or overcooked and burnt—never crisp or fresh. Even when I ask for extra salt, they are bland and flavorless.

Latte Machine: The latte machine is “not working” roughly 9 out of 10 times, suggesting a lack of maintenance or employee training.

Customer Service: The overall attitude, professionalism, and courtesy from employees—especially on the late shift—are poor. Staff appear disengaged, inattentive, and often indifferent toward customers.

Language Barrier: I do not speak Spanish, yet I frequently encounter communication issues at this location, which should not be the case at a McDonald’s restaurant serving a bilingual community.

Management Example: The late-shift manager, a younger brown-skinned male, seems to lack leadership and sets an unprofessional tone for the team. The employees’ attitudes reflect his example.

These issues make it clear that store leadership and employee training at this location are failing to meet McDonald’s brand standards.

In sharp contrast, both
1101 W 49th St (1.6 miles away) and
3350 W 18th Ave (1.8 miles away) provide outstanding service and consistent food quality. The difference is immediate and noticeable: employees are friendly, professional, and respectful, greeting customers in both English and Spanish while maintaining a positive, team-oriented environment.

It’s unfortunate that I must drive past the location behind my home just to be treated properly and receive fresh food—but the superior experience at these two nearby restaurants makes the extra distance worthwhile.

I want to commend the management and staff at both 1101 W 49th St and 3350 W 18th Ave for representing the McDonald’s brand with pride and professionalism. They have earned my loyalty and now have me as a five-nights-a-week customer.

I urge corporate and/or franchise leadership to investigate the 330 W 29th St location. Customers in this immediate area deserve the same level of respect, quality, and consistency provided by the other nearby McDonald’s restaurants serving the very same community.

Thank you for your time and attention.

Today I placed two orders using the app, at different times. The service was horrible. They confused me. The first time I placed the order at 3:30 p.m., they sent me to the parking lot because the order wasn’t there, or rather, they gave it to someone else. I had to wait and ended up going in to get my order. The second time I placed it at 12:35 a.m. There were only three cars, and they gave us a completely wrong order. The fries looked like they had been fried a week before, and the chicken was raw and tough. Honestly, I didn’t go back because I was already in the palmetto. But it’s disrespectful for someone to spend $30 or $40 and then just vote for the entire meal because it’s no good. I don’t recommend this McDonald’s to anyone, unless you want to vote for your money.

The playground, which is the main reason why we visit this particular McDonald’s closes at 9 PM. This is absurd since this is the main attraction for the kids to visit this place. Apparently, this is a new change that management has done in this McDonald’s because we have been coming here, But all in the sudden they close the playground. I do not recommend this place if you have kids.

Every time i ask for extra ice they pour out the ice in the drink and just put the same amount or say its against policy

Once i ordered a 10 piece nugget to go, there was just sausage patty in the box.

I say let’s only support McDonald’s who show love to our kids by keeping their playgrounds and keeping it the way it’s intended; kid friendly.

Have been coming to this location since I was a kid, 30 some years ago. I appreciate that my kids could now visit and still play!

It’s always clean and the staff is friendly. FYI someone always available at the counter would be a plus.

Even nicer would be if we work a little on the franchise making their toys like they use to. Bring back collectible cups and toys that would actually last. Now this would be awesome!

Regardless I appreciate the investment in keeping your playground

I went in for a mobile order and waited inside for 15 minutes until I spoke to an employee. Then I was told it was a drive thru so I had to go to the drive thru. I go to drive thru and of course, no McFlurrys and then waited another 15-20 minutes for the order.

The customer service is terrible. I made a mobile order and when I arrived to the drive thru, I waited until the person talked to me but I notice that she keeps attending the other line but not mine. She just refused to assist me. Then, the cashier was in another planet! I had to wait 10 minutes for a smoothie and when I received I noticed it looked weird. I was already late so I couldn’t complain about it. It wasn’t a smoothie. It was cubes of ice with juice. They didn’t blend it well! And the taste was also horrible, couldn’t drink it complemety
