I ordered a gluten-free Mighty Meaty pizza and PAID EXTRA for pepperoni, bacon, and mozzarella while eliminating the Italian sausage. I placed the order online more than an hour before pickup after a 14-hour shift. What I received was nowhere near the standard pictured on Mellow Mushroom’s own website (see photos for comparison). For a brand that markets itself as premium, this was unacceptable.
The manager on-site handled it graciously and remade the order, and I want to be clear: the customer service was solid. The issue isn’t the people working hard in the restaurant — it’s the standards they’re being asked to work within. When a $30+ pizza leaves the kitchen with skimpy toppings and a presentation that looks nothing like what’s advertised, it signals a deeper problem. This is truly false advertisement.
Customers aren’t paying premium prices for bare-minimum ingredients. Mellow Mushroom built its reputation on bold flavors and quality, not shortcuts. If corporate wants to keep long-term loyalty, it needs to stop cutting corners and start holding every store accountable for consistency, value, and product integrity.
At these prices, there’s no excuse for serving food that looks like an afterthought. Either raise the standard or risk losing customers who are willing to pay top dollar for quality.

A review for the manager – mellow mushrooms are supposed to have a vibe – and all this “daylight” lighting – i believe is actually supposed to be on for cleaning and staff. There are nice lights in the building – just turn the ugly ones off so people dont feel like they are in a hospital room while eating.
All the lamp fixtures with the yellow warm lights are the only ones supposed to be on.

Ordered a gluten free pizza for pick up. Instead of the dominos up the street we never have issues with, we decided to try out mellow mushroom that was a 15 min drive from us.
The pizza barely had toppings on it (that we paid $1.50 each topping for). The garlic aioli swirl that was on our ticket, was not on the pizza. The pizza was terrible. Do better Mellow.

I ordered delivery paid for a pepperoni pizza with extra pepperoni and extra cheese. I received a standard pepperoni pizza. Called them and just got put on infinite hold. Extremely disappointed.
*it took 30 minutes of calling twice and being on hold to be told I can return the pizza so they can check and remake it or call DoorDash for a refund. I’m sick which is why I paid for delivery so bringing it back is not possible. I called DoorDash who said because I placed the order on mellow’s website the restaurant has to refund me. Thankfully DoorDash called them for me and they refunded the extra I paid. What a hassle.

Clayton was fantastic! He is very knowledgeable about the menu and protocols of the restaurant. Typically I can eat at mellow mushroom with my dairy allergy, and as soon as I disclosed mine he let me know it was not safe to eat here. I appreciate his honesty and kindness. My partner said the pizza was amazing, so 5 stars from him ☺️

Cons: We were disappointed that calzones aren’t on this menu. It was pretty empty on a Sunday evening and isn’t the kind of place where I’d come to drink at the bar because it’s pretty far from other bars or events, and it doesn’t have the sports bar vibe like on Monroe.

Staff was amazing especially the cashier Shy and the manager Shanika. They were super helpful with ordering and recommendations. The food was great, chill atmosphere and the staff was very attentive making sure everything came out okay.

The staff here are super nice and helpful – Shy was great! The building is new and facility clean. Pizza is awesome right out of the kitchen, and outdoor seating is Beltline adjacent. Love this addition to the neighborhood!
