Ordered the most plan unflavored over fried food I’ve ever had. $135 worth of gross. Crab ragoons are not even close to the right flavor profile. Fried rice was white, watered down unflavored duck sauce and hot mustard
I ordered from here thinking I would get more for my money, but I got a whole lot of food that ended up in the trash. Ordering Chinese food is a big treat for a family of six. I most definitely will never order from the lotus again.

Great service and quick, but the food wasn’t even remotely close to my expectations. I ordered the scallion pancakes, and these were somewhat ok to eat. The chicken fingers, I sent back cause it smelled like it was cooked in engine oil. The chef’s special spicy chicken tasted nothing like the description. It was sour and greasy topped with stale peanuts! The scorpion bowl was OK. Maybe, one can go here for the drinks but certainly the food could be much better or maybe I ordered the unpopular dishes. I’m visiting from California, so maybe my expectations were high. I can’t tell for sure. I couldn’t finish eating any of the food that I had ordered. The common trend I have observed is that the restaurants with too many items on the menu struggle to keep up with the quality of food. I hope the owner understands such reviews to improve the quality of the restaurant. No disrespect intended to anyone!

The spicy tofu comes with pork even though its under vegetable and not listed. It also doesnt come with white rice that is another charge.It also has no spice . Everything was liquid. I got sick after eating the food so i cant recommend

If I could give this place zero stars I would. It was my friends dinner party she called and booked the event room a month in advance party of 15 in which the man on the phone said it was fine and booked. Day of the party we arrive at the restaurant they dont even remember we have a booking. We set up anyways this included all our decorations cake and cookies. The woman owner comes in and tells us we do not have enough people for the buffet. We then responded with We told them the amount of people we had and was told it was okay. The woman starts arguing non stop. They never offered to serve us infant she said if we didnt like it to leave. So thats what we did a party of 15 the day of had to find another location last minute. We went to South Side Asian cuisine in Milford and they sat us right in the party room and accommodated our party last minute with WAY better food quality. My friends family has been going to the China lotus for over 20 years its unbelievable the service. We will not be returning.

This is not your modern gourmet Chinese food. This is the old school New England style Chinese food that we grew up with. I have been coming here for over 40 years. When you sit at the bar, the other patrons instantly make you feel like family. There is definitely a regular crowd, however even if it’s your first time you can join the conversation and everyone is friendly. It is a family owned and operated restaurant. The majority of the time you will see either Joe or his brother Tommy. Their dad is in the kitchen. You will notice money tacked to the ceiling, that gets donated to a kids cancer foundation. They are famous for their Mai Tai’s and Scorpion Bowls! Joe worked hard to keep the prices down when all of the restaurant supplies went up. They still make the old school egg rolls with celery. I’ve always been a fan of their chicken wings, Peking raviolis, crab rangoons, beef and chicken teriyaki. Their lobster sauce is solid. In my mom’s final days, the only thing she would eat was Medway Lotus lo mein. Within reason they will cater to your wishes and let you substitute an item. Some things might add a buck or two. Definitely not due to greed. They have well over 20 combinations on their luncheon menu. Karaoke on the weekends. The dining area is nicely decorated in Asian decor adding to the ambiance. The 5 stars really reflects the atmosphere, the owners and the patrons that really add to the experience. I want to comment that there’s a review on here where someone wrote the workers had a language barrier. The family that owns and operates the restaurant speak perfect English. The owner was a waiter there before he bought it when I was growing up. It was an ignorant comment. If you want to take a step back in time, or if you want to go somewhere to feel comfortable and forget about the outside world for a little bit, check out the Medway Lotus! While sitting at the bar just be respectful and not a “buffoon” and you will have a great time!

This has to be one of the worst Chinese food experiences ever . I opened the egg roll and instantly seen this mess . The low mane noodles were dry like a Nevada desert. Shrimp fried rice was horrible. I feel like this place should be punished for this food . Just no flavor at all. 52 $ dollars down the drain .People don’t waste your time or money . Take it from me I ordered a pu pu plater to try everything and it all was horrible. This place has an award for the year 2022 for best Chinese restaurant lmaoo. This Place is a joke .
