Social Profile:

Sicily is a fertile, fiery island located smack in the middle of the Mediterranean. The largest of all the Mediterranean islands, Sicily has been part of Italy since 1861 but before that, the fierce island had many different rulers. All leaving behind their own culinary imprint. At Medusa, we honor this rich, complex heritage by bringing the dynamic flavors of Sicily to the heart of Detroit.

I cannot say enough good things about this place! I went to Sicily last year in May, and I’ll say the breaded steak at Medusa was better than I had there. Best cannolo this side of the Atlantic, they pipe it fresh at your table. We were celebrating a friends birthday and they made it so incredibly special. No detail was over looked. Loved the little hooks under the table to hold your leftovers. I’ll be back, like all the time. The staff is just wonderful, keep up the good work Medusa!

I’ve been to Medusa a couple times since opening and there are quite a few things I love! Not only is the atmosphere moody but still bright and fresh feeling. But the food is down to earth, rustic Sicilian food done right.
I’ve tried 4 of their cocktails, if you are looking for something light and refreshing, the Isola Verde is a great way to start. But if you love a Negroni like I do, try the Cocco Rosso. Its like a negroni and a tikki cocktail had a baby.

The street food section of the menu, expect it to be more traditional, rustic bites. Nothing too complex or try hard. Simple, good food.

If you get a chance to try the octopus, DO IT! I had memories of the holidays, when my Sicilian grandfather, would clean octopus in the kitchen sink for octopus salad. It was such a treat!

The Bucatini con le Sarde was the star of the show for me. My first trip I shared the plate with a couple of girls, and my second visit was motivated by the idea of eating that again, all by myself. Second time around, did NOT disappoint.
The Lamp shank is huge, and it falls right off the bone.

The other thing I will forever crave, is that cannoli!
Most places do cannolis an injustice, by filling the shells too soon, and then the shells get soggy and/or stale.
Medusa has a fresh cannoli cart! Where they pipe the filling into the shell at your table. That crisp shell is Divine.
Do not miss out on one! And for perspective, growing up I did not like cannolis, because I had had so many sub par ones (again, sicilian family, so my mom was always trying one when given the chance)
Didn’t grow a liking for them until I had one in Italy.

All of that to say, the service has been excellent. The wait staff is knowledgeable, professional, and kind.

I truly hope they maintain their vision, and standards. If they do, it is sure to become a Detroit staple for us.

Had an amazing and unforgettable time at Medusa Cucina Siciliana! My friends and I stopped in after a long shift and were greeted with such enthusiasm and genuine appreciation. The server, bartender, and hostess were all incredibly sweet and kind — we’ve honestly never felt so welcomed at a restaurant before. It completely made our night, and we still can’t stop talking about it!

The food was phenomenal. We ordered the Bistecca, Salsiccia alla Kalsa, Pasta alla Norma, Pesce Spada, Panelle, Arancini al Burro, and Finocchio e Arancia — and every single dish was prepared with so much care and precision. You truly can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. One of my friend had a lot of dietary restriction and the server was able to personally work with her to figure out what she could eat!

To end the night, we grabbed cannoli from the Cannoli Cart and tried the Settiville as well. The desserts were rich, perfectly sweet, and the ideal way to finish the meal.

We left feeling completely full — and genuinely loved by the staff. This is officially our new favorite spot. We’ll 100% be back!

Medusa is an absolute gem. The decor and overall design of the place are really cool—stylish, modern, and thoughtfully done, making the whole experience feel special from the moment you walk in. Today was only their third day of operation, and honestly, everything already felt dialed in.

The menu was excellent, full of flavor and creativity, and the service was super knowledgeable and welcoming. A highlight of the night was getting a chance to talk with the head chef and owner, Chef Anthony. I loved how passionately he explained the history behind the menu, the inspiration for each dish, and how he genuinely takes notes and feedback from every individual. You can really feel the care and intention behind this place.

An amazing experience overall—I’ll definitely be checking this spot out again

Was very excited to try out Medusa since it has the same chef as SheWolf!! Had such a great experience. Was seated quickly after we arrived. Drinks were on point, food was extremely tasty and presented nicely. We ordered a bunch of items to share and we are so happy we did! Cannot wait to go back.

Medusa Cucina Siciliana was outstanding. I had the Busiate alla Norma and it was absolutely phenomenal! Perfectly cooked pasta with rich, authentic flavor. We also had the oysters, which says a lot because I’m usually not a fan, but they were surprisingly great. For dessert, I tried the cannoli and it did not disappoint. The ricotta filling was creamy and well balanced, with a really nice hint of lemon that made it stand out. On top of the amazing food, our waitress was fantastic!Friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Medusa is an outstanding addition to the metro Detroit dining scene and a must visit, especially if you are already a fan of its sister restaurant, She Wolf. One of the coolest touches is that all of the pasta is made fresh at She Wolf, and you can absolutely taste the quality in every bite.

We started with the Spiedini di Salsiccia (kabob/kafta skewer), which was an excellent starter and a great way to kick off the meal. For pasta, the Busiate alla Norma was fantastic, with perfectly cooked pasta paired with delicious fried eggplant that brought great flavor and texture to the dish. The standout of the night, however, was the Agnello alla “Agglassato.” The lamb shank was unbelievably tender, flavorful, and easily the best dish we had all evening.

For dessert, the cannolis were another highlight. They pipe them fresh right in front of you, which makes the experience even better and ensures they are perfectly crisp and fresh.

Beyond the food, the service was truly top tier and easily some of the best service I have experienced in the metro Detroit area. The staff was extremely attentive, constantly checking on us and even changing plates between each course, which really elevated the overall dining experience.

Medusa is a fantastic choice whether you are planning a night out or celebrating something special.

We had an excellent meal here tonight! Food was all so tasty, the drinks were strong and delicious and service was top-notch (Florence, our server, was absolutely amazing but everyone we interacted with was so kind). They even sent some clams on the house – what a treat! We’ll be back!
