Had reservations here for lunch on valentines day with my husband. Ghe jalapeño popper dip was good. The soup was good. (red pepper something?) I got the bbq brisket that comes on top of mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts – very good. We have had the orange creme brulee before and loved it. No dessert this time. We have been herefor his work christmas dinner and it’s always great. We have never seen swordfish on a menu before so he decided to try it. It was tough and lacked flavor, unfortunately, so won’t be getting that again. Other than that, it was a great choice for valentines day.

I have been to Medici numerous times and it never disappoints! During my most recent visit, I ordered the roasted red pepper cheese ravioli and it was divine. The drunken brussel sprouts appetizer was also a favorite, and the espresso martini was delicious.

Service was ok. Waitress seemed overwhelmed. Had to ask multiple times for things. Plus not good at staying on top of drink refills. Also nothing was cleared off the tables. We had to go to bar to get some of our drinks. We had to clear off our table to make room for dinner as the appetizer dishes and glasses were never picked up to make room. Also, dinner came at different times for our group of 12. I received my dinner last and half the table was done. My food was barely warm. They put my steak on top of my potatoes and the blood ran into the mashed potatoes which was too gross to eat. The steak was a little over cooked for medium rare but had good flavor. The carrots tasted good. Expected better food for the price. Will not be returning unless they do some changes on service and food. Pretty atmosphere.

We liked the ambiance of the restaurant. We had almost 20 people in a private room – and only 1 server to do everything. That included drinks, appetizers, entrees, desserts, tickets, and everything else. She was great but should have had more help. For example, we waited about 20 minutes after we arrived for her to take our drink order. Coincidentally, we waited about that same length of time to get our checks when we were ready to leave.

The biggest issue was the food. We ordered thin crust sausage florentine pizza and beef stroganof. The pizza crust was mushy. The pizza itself had a good flavor but thin crust should be at least a little crispy. The stroganof was way too salty and I would swear the sauce was made with a can of cream of mushroom soup. Not great for what presents itself as a high end restaurant.

My steak was disgusting. Ordered medium rare and it came out cold and blue. I would have sent it back but we didn’t see our server until 30 min later. They did take it off the bill but it was just gross.

Food was incredible but alittle expensive for the area . Not trying to be mean but the lady manager was pretty dismissive when I was trying to collect my order at the bar. Pizza wasn’t with my food and had to drive back to get it. They blamed me and said it was next to my stuff. It was not.

All that being said I still recommend this place just maybe the management tries a little harder to be nice to new patrons.

I’d give it 0 stars if I could. Don’t waste your money. About all this place has ever had going for it from day one was its ambiance, it’s stocked alcohol and it’s pizza/flatbreads. I just had the fattiest beef stroganoff I’ve ever had – I had to spit multiple pieces I couldn’t work through in my napkin while on my dinner date. They didn’t offer to comp anything at first, I had to ask. And then they only offered to comp my happy hour wine for $4.75 – not the full $5 I paid. I don’t know why I keep going back to this place. It’s never been good. Out of towners, don’t waste your time. It’s not good.

Excellent service, excellent food, we’ll be back! Pictured here is brisket jalapeño popper appetizer, beef brisket entree with mashed potatoes and green beans, and the great salmon and risotto entree. All was absolutely delicious! Great service as well!

First of all, we have been to Medici and know it as a decent place to eat, with interesting interior and some good dishes we’ve tried before. Yet, today everything was just off and wrong: my hubby ordered beef BBQ brisket : so he expected to have brisket 90% and some flavor maybe with the bbq sauce: instead, what he was served had 80% bbq sauce all over the meat, which was a bit charred and completely lost as a taste – because thus bbq sauce completely overpowered any flavor the meat could have. That was not the only disappointment today: we asked for the soup of the day: the server, when asked what kind of soup it is, please attention here: she said the soup has «beer cheese and sausage”. I asked about beer cheese – she tried to explain , and that was it. Ok, here comes our soup: the consistency was rather dense , topped with grated cheese , BUT! it tasted spicy that had to sting water after each bite! I generally never ever choose spicy when eating out- but I expect the server to at the very least warn me that the soup is hot!!! Not at all what I wanted after coming there hungry! Besides, the spiciness tasted like liquid pepper and not the natural heat! There was no purpose for this hot taste in the soup , but even with that, I believe the waiters should ALWAYS warn customers about hot dishes!!! Then my order was beet salad topped with salmon : salmon was grilled and done right- the way not ingredient I really liked in this meal; but the salad was doused in dressing that was mostly vinegarish – not a subtle taste of a good dressing. Arugula and beets too looked like it was not today’s cooking but they provably they were hiding the fact that everything was from yesterday or not good quality; that would explain why the brisket and the salad were literally doused in unsavory sauces! So, we are probably NOT going to Medici again: maybe we should have been more proactive and demanding and request to return the dishes after they came so badly tasting! I don’t know: I try to be polite and understanding of the young people who work in such positions as servers ; but on second thoughts, we came home frustrated that we spent money on really bad food!

For starters…. The history of the making of this restaurant is fascinating! Beautiful woodwork throughout the interior! I had Tammy as a server…Fantastic! She recommended the beef stroganoff, which did not disappoint me at all! It has a combination of rich buttermilk and smooth sour cream for the base, smothering tender cuts of beef and chunks of mushrooms on a bed of egg noodles to combine a delicious flavorful dish! Complimented by the garlic toast, of course! The espresso was rich and full flavor! This place is sure to meet your expectations!
