I got a steak salad and half a meatball sub. Holy smokes that salad was fire!! The sandwich came in clutch but they were so big! I didn’t need that much food. Oie! Perfectly flavored sauce on the sandwich. Simple, delicious! Will return!

I usually love meconis, but this was a weird experience. I ordered ahead for pickup, and spoke with a woman who struggled a bit but repeated my order back to me correctly: salami & turkey kids sandwich with no tomato & lite oil + mayo. After paying and picking up, I unwrap my sandwich and there’s no turkey, but salami & bacon? So I was charged extra for bacon I didn’t even order, and wasn’t even given the turkey I wanted. Sad 🙁

1st time there i was with a group of about 25ppl…they got to work & had orders done quickly! Food is excellent!! Didn’t know portions were so big. Half a sub is close to a foot anywhere else. Definitely will go back.

I order the Italian cold sub and the Chicken Philly. The staff was AMAZING. I forgot a sandwich and came back an hour later to pick up and they made me a fresh one! The subs themselves are TO DIE FOR. Super fresh not soggy at all. My praises go out to them!

If sandwiches could speak of regret. This place is a cookie cutter convenience store cold case complete with plastic utensils and condiments from packages. I’m fairly certain everything here is made with a microwave and dressed up to like a traditional deli. The service was there, and they were staffed, but the restaurant was very dirty and unkempt – there were also hardly any people there, so it was not due to a busy day or a rush – just neglect.

Ordered 2 subs (Italian and Turkey) for take out at 5:25pm. The place was empty except for 3 customers ahead of me patiently waiting for their take out and 1 customer eating in. I had to wait to order until the young gentleman decided the phone conversation with his friend was over. No greeting, just a ” what can I get you”. As I waited for my subs I noticed the 1 customer ho was eating get up and walk in the back. She was an employee taking her dinner break at the busiest hour of the evening…..
At 6pm I finally got my order. Took the oder home only to find out i was given a ham sub rather than the Italian.
Customer service is not what is use to be. I don’t think I will be returning to Meconis anytime soon… they need to be doing it better

Easily the best sub shop in Olympia, although there really isn’t much competition, if any. Subway is a contender, for example. Meconi’s from what I understand, was founded by transplants who missed big city food. It shows.

These are the subs I would take you to if you wanted a sub and were in town from any major city. It’s a sub shop, not a sandwich shop or cafe. There is a difference.

Now, I have had much, much better subs, I am something of an aficionado of good subs. Bread must be good, and ingredients must taste good. These guys do that.

It’s no Bronx Salumeria or Katz’ famous deli, but for Olympia it’s gold. (maybe bronze elsewhere.)

I stopped in for take-out lunch today and was very pleased with both the service and quality! They have a simple menu and clearly use fresh ingredients in their subs. Per current Washington regulations, dine-in is not allowed at this time. There is parking behind the restaurant which may be tight during busy hours, but I had no issues around 2pm.

My while capicola sub ($12) was delicious and well more than I could eat in one sitting! Looking forward to trying other menu items next time.

The facility is clean and efficient with rapid service. I ordered a salami sandwich. It was exceedingly bland and tasteless. I picked a piece of salami and ate it separately and would not have been able to tell it was salami by its taste since it essentially had no flavor. The same was true for the cheese and bread. The ingredients were fresh. The price was reasonable.

The clam chowder was not particularly memorable being somewhat bland also.
