The carne asada was extremely tough and had no flavor like it was just steamed, the beans are absolutely flavorless, the rice is great and the chile is mediocre. What really got me though was the staff was super unprofessional and had attitude because I asked for forks….plus for $18 for a 20oz cup of meat id expect the cup to be full not be filled up half way with meat so tough I couldnt stab a fork into it. The Salsa was actually also very good.

I met Fidela (hope I spelled that correctly) who has been employed with the company since 2013. Honestly, the way she carried herself and her level of engagement, I thought she was the owner. Not sure if she runs the place-and she should. The food was great and served quickly. I have no complaints and I highly recommend this place. Oh, and that’s the Shredded Beef Enchiladas! Highly recommend.

The last like 4 times I’ve ordered the mixto relleno burrito here and didn’t double check to make sure it was right which means taking the burrito out and unrolling it which I shouldn’t have to do in the first place!! I get home and there’s just a tiny amount of beans and the relleno inside. One time it was only rice!! It’s supposed to have rice and beans. We live an hour away so it’s not like we can go right back. I’ve tried calling to speak to a manager but apparently they have no upper management that’s ever there. You charge dang near $10 a burro the least you could do is get it right. The few times I have unrolled the burro to make sure it’s right I’ve had to give it back to them to fix. Out of the 7 or 8 times I’ve ordered this it’s only been made right maybe twice. When the burros are made right they’re amazing that’s why I keep trying to get them. But this was the last time because 9 times out of 10 I end up having to cook something for myself anyway after working a 12 hour shift.

Stopped by Menchy’s for Mexican cravings, but there’s no lobby/dine‑in—only a drive‑through. There were two cars ahead of us, and after 40 minutes of not moving we gave up. Unfortunately, we never got to try the food, so this rating is only about speed of service. If staffing is tight, posting expected wait times, giving ETA updates, or temporarily closing the lane would help set expectations.”

The parking and access is limited, but the food is worthy of your time. Sweet service!

Their drive thru is painful…..
Based on their speed they are only able to serve maybe six people an hour. With as long as they have been in business you would think they have come up with a more efficient setup.
Plus they are hyper stingy with the salsa. Locals rave about this place but based on my multiple experiences it is mediocre at best. But its a low bar in the gila valley due to lack of decent competition.
Update to reply: I didn’t compare your salsa to others. Lol. I said your “stingy” with it. Which means you don’t put enough in the bag per burrito….

First and last time stopping for food here. Food is not great, no flavor. The rolled tacos we got are not made fresh they are frozen José tacos. The tamale, rice, and beans were not good tasteless canned food. This is not authentic Mexican food thumbs down all the way.

Not too busy at lunch, waiting time was less than 10 min. I was 3rd in line when I drove up, and within 2 min a waitress walked up to take my order. She was polite and cheerful. And my order was ready the moment it was my turn at the driveip window. So I give 5 stars on the service.

I ordered a carne asada taco, nachos super without sour cream, and a large horchata. Unfortunately they were out of horchata, so I can’t comment on that, except to say she was very apologetic about it, and I find so few Mexican restaurants that serve it, so Im going back if only to try it.

The taco was good. There wasn’t as much meat on it as I’ve seen at other places, and the carne was a little dry, but the flavor was great. At only $2.05 I’d say it’s a good deal.

The nachos were loaded with plenty of meat, cheese, lettuce, beans, and jalapeños to make them a full meal by themselves for most people, all for just $6.49. The nachos were starting to get soggy when I ate my meal about 15 minutes after driving away; that’s not their fault, and it was still warm in the styrofoam container and aluminum foil.

Every time I drive past Mechy’s after work, they are busy, so they obviously have a lot of local support. I’m definitely going back. The food was fast, service was great, wait was short, and the prices were very reasonable. Not bad at all for a local corner drive-up Mexican restaurant.

Edit: I returned 2 weeks later to try the Horchata, and they were again out of it, this time at dinner. I’ll try once more before giving up.

Waited about 45 minutes in line for Carne asada burros. This is what they gave us. I have never been so disappointed in my life with Mexican food.
Also upset the owner hasn’t responded to this in over a month. I’d of been more then happy to change my review if the issue was resolved!
