The Meat Market in Hyde Park Tampa is outstanding from start to finish. The ambiance is truly high-end — the build-out was done with real class and creates an upscale yet comfortable atmosphere that feels perfect for both a night out and a special occasion.
The menu is impressively diverse, with something for everyone, and everything we tried was high-quality and absolutely delicious. You can tell a lot of thought goes into both the ingredients and the execution.
What really elevated the experience, though, was the staff. Every person we interacted with was exceptional — attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming without being overbearing.
Great food, great service, and a beautiful setting. Easily one of the best dining experiences in Tampa. Highly recommend.

Amazing dinner experience for our anniversary! The server was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly with great input on our selections. The MM house salad was surprisingly good, Triple Play Roll Sushi was a good mix of crunchy and flavor and Lobster Mac & Cheese a winner. The steaks stole the show, the NY Strip cooked perfectly – make sure to get the peppercorn dipping sauce! My wife’s filet was on point as well. Cocktails were fun, great wine selection. There was an Oreo Dessert cocktail that was decadent to go along with the chocolate cake. All in all, one of our most enjoyable dinners thanks to atmosphere, food and fantastic service!

I chose Meat Market in Tampa for my birthday dinner, and I’m so glad I did. The ambience was perfect, the right mix of trendy, classy, and elegant. The menu had endless options and everything we tried was incredible. Huge shout out to Heather, who was so sweet, attentive, and genuinely made the night feel special. The whole staff was on point.
Now… the only thing that had me raising an eyebrow: management. I’ve never seen a manager sitting in a chair room while servers are hustling and closing down the dining room, we made eye contact multiple times, and still he never came over to greet, nor thank us, or ask if any concerns. I was dying to tell him how great the food and service were, but he seemed glued to his phone. As someone retired from the industry, I know that’s a big no-no — sir, you should’ve been table touching!
But seriously, compliments to the chef, the staff, the interior designer, and whoever makes meat markets playlist. Amazing work all around.
I’d absolutely come back. Great food, great vibe, great people. The hospitality didn’t stop at the host stand. good work!

Had such a wonderful experience at Meat Market! We celebrated a birthday and let’s just say it’s our new favorite spot in Tampa! The server was super friendly and attentive & had great recommendations! The indoor and outdoor atmosphere are so beautiful! We will absolutely be back!

Really enjoyed having Christmas drinks and dinner at Meat Market.
The bartenders were very friendly and attentive. I had a glass of frank family cabernet, watermelon breeze cocktail, and I love Gold cocktail (cinnamon and orange taste). I also had the meat market steak with chimichurri and m butter, creamy spinach without bacon, and mm house salad.
I really enjoyed the presentation of the banana desert option. Me and my roommates will always remember the experience, thank you to your team!

Visited Meat Market for lunch with my husband on a weekday. It took a good 10 min for anyone to acknowledge us after we were seated. It was lunch service. In the main dining room there were about 3-5 other tables occupied. I understand staff can be busy for a variety of reasons even if not obvious to customers. But a quick “hey I’lll be with you shortly” would have gone a long way.
My husband and I both got the smash burgers. Burger was good. Not the best I’ve had in Tampa but I’d give it top 10. The sweet potato waffle fries were very tasty.

Sunday brunch. Nice atmosphere. Got the beefsteak panini. Looked like a grilled sandwich (no panini markings) cheese not fully melted. Great amount of shaved steak, but all mounded in the middle and cold which left parts of sandwich just cheese. Friend ordered the steak and eggs Rare. Steak came out med – Well-ish. When brought to servers attention, was informed it’s the type of steak, it cooks differently !!!!!!! I nearly choked on my mimosa!!! Seriously the steaks cooks differently!!! We declined to send it back at that time due to how long it took took to get, and it was starting to drizzle on us.

One of my favorite Restaurants in Tampa! Food is absolutely the best! Service can’t compare to any place around! Everyone is professional and kind! They also do some of the best events in town. I honestly can’t say anything negative about this place! Every year they get better than the previous year by implementing new things, dishes and styles! Grabbed lunch on a day spent shopping in Hyde Park. The reviews here are a little surprising after visiting. We found a modern, upscale steakhouse that seemed like the “it” spot in Hyde Park. We had wine and a nice lunch on the patio. The meat market salad was nice, grilled churrasco was grilled to temp perfectly, and my wife’s avocado that was well done. DJ was playing great music. Really enjoyed the ambiance and vibe.
