A hidden gem of a BBQ place. We had the most interesting Nachos here, wait for it….using Ruffles! The aroma when you walk in is amazing, so you know you’re in for a treat. Friendly and fast service are a plus. No alcohol here, though…just in case you wanted to wet your whistle with an adult beverage.

The people were a 10! Awesome group. Bbq is a preference thing for people. I got ribs and beans. They were really good I just like a dryer less seasoned rib. Some people dry store and others wrap in cambro these ribs are plastic wrapped which keeps them moist and have a heavy season on the outside of that is your style you will love these. The beans were a 5 star for me. Ribs were good just not my style and price point seemed a bit high 30 for a rack of ribs. However I know food prices are soaring.

I went in about 30 min before closing on a Friday night ,
Food was warm and fresh .
And when most restaurants are needing cleaned Meat Hooks was kept clean. Even with the steady foot traffic from Togo orders .
They are in a strip center in Clever MO. On Hwy 14.
And are well worth the drive from the other side of the county.

I love the smoked meats Meat Hooks offer. The side dishes are good as well. The burt ends are so good! As a matter of fact, I eat at this restaurant every chance I get because it’s amazing smoked meat.
Don’t forget to order nachos with burnt ends topped off with dip-dip.
And… do not put sauce on the meat. Trust me, you will love the flavor of this places smoked meat.

This is a really cool family run operation! I highly recommend getting the Burntends sandwich! I normally would drive into Springfield to grab barbecue or something, now there’s no need to with this place being so close! The atmosphere is okay, but the food is incredible!

All there meats are amazing. There sides are pretty good as well. Wish they had more of a selection as far as sides go. Also wish they had meals instead of pretty much having sandwiches. The owners and staff are all very nice and always welcome you with a smile.
