We had a wonderful experience at Meadows Restaurant! We started with the loaded potato skins appetizer and they were absolutely amazing! Perfectly crispy, cheesy, and loaded with flavor.
I ordered the French dip with home fries and it was fantastic, the meat was tender, flavorful, and served just right. My daughter had the kids’ chicken fingers and fries, and she loved them. Everything came out hot and fresh!
Our waitress was incredibly friendly, super fast, and always made sure our glasses were full. The service truly stood out and made the meal even better.
The restaurant itself may be a little dated, but honestly that didn’t matter at all because the food and service were outstanding. We will definitely be back!

We were visiting from Kentucky and always look for different restaurants. This place is a hidden gem. I had the Dagwood sandwich and oh, it was so big and delicious. My husband got the chopped steak and onions. He said it was delicious too. We got the potato skins as an appetizer and they were hot and cheesy. Overall great experience. Our waitress was so nice and our neighbor at the next table got the pork chops and they are huge!! Next time I’m trying those!! Thanks for serving us Kristen and bringing us great food!!

Nice little stop in Springfield OH, on our way back to IL! Food was great, all the staff were friendly! Could see they posted opening for more hours and needing help. Looks like a great place to work as well! I didn’t get pics of the food but I had the prime rib French dip sub and it was fantastic! My husband had the fried cod and he said it was really good! We’ve saved it as one of our favorite stops on our travels so we can eat there again!

The food was great! Service was spot on! Atmosphere is a tad older, but clean. We enjoyed our experience, except for one thing…the owner’s son. He would walk around with clinch fists, and would punch or slam doors. He obviously has some anger issues, because this isn’t the first time this kind of behavior has been observed when visiting. While his antics didn’t ruin the taste of the food, he did ruin the overall experience.

Great food at a great price. If you are hungry, get the bowl instead of the cup of chili, the portion looks to be 3X the amount in a cup, same goes with any of the soups. One bad thing, the tap water was undrinkable, I grew up drinking water that had to sit for 24 hours to lessen the chlorine taste.. this was far worse, like a metal taste.

Driving by often, I have always wanted to try this place. It had a welcome feel. We were given the choice to sit on either side…left is more of a traditional diner vibe, bright with lots of windows, and the right side is a more quaint bar side with louder music. This side overlooks the outdoor patio too. We chose the bar side.
We received excellent service, friendly, efficient, and everything came out better than expected. We started out with the beef and vegetable soup, and a bowl of the French onion soup. Both were robust in flavor. The char on the French onion soup was perfect. Then the BLT came and had a generous amount of bacon. This bacon was thick and the most flavorful I’ve ever had. My friend ordered the veggie wrap with honey mustard sauce and she was so happy with it. She said everything was fresh with generous portions. They brew their own tea so this is also highly recommended. I cannot wait to visit again. There was a lot more seating than I was expecting. And the bar side had a cool 70s ambiance in a fun, tasteful way.

Josh the Bartender is a really friendly guy. Wife and I stopped in for a quick bite and a night cap before bed. The food was excellent not pricey at all. We enjoyed our time here, definitely will be making it a weekly stop

Went with a party of 7, three of us got chopped steak and mashed potatoes, to my surprise I noticed a mint taste in my potatoes, as I chewed on them I had mint gum sticking to my teeth, I would have been happy to get my meal replaced but instead the manager said I don’t know how it got there , walked away, and just took it off the bill, poor customer service. I would have been fine with something else to eat. Lost my business and getting this review…
