MC’s Dugout in Rochester is a local dive that has some great character. I think more people come here for a drink than to actually eat. I’m basing my rating on the food at this place.
The restaurant is mostly a quick serve establishment. This means they buy frozen or premade items and put it on a plate. Most of the food they serve is friend. Forget any allergy accommodations here.
The fries were not great. They had a coating on them reminiscent of a cheap frozen fries which they were. The Marconi salad pictured is just a store bought item again placed in a bowl and served to you. We ended up not even eating it unfortunately. The burger was decent, again nothing fresh really other than the vegetables. We ordered them medium, sadly we should have done them a bit more as this is not a fresh burger that is worthy.
Overall it’s a good atmosphere as mentioned above. I wish them success.

Very caring owners AND employees. (Food) if you leave hungry, it’s your own fault!

They have pride in their dive bar. Local drunks, cute bartenders. But you can see in the kitchen, they cut raw chicken, same spot as your vegetables. Freezer burned food. Lack of organization stands out just ask them about food allergies. And good luck !! One little bthrm w/ one toilet and a urine on the floor so gross.

My son and I wanted to try something new to us and found MC’s Dugout. I am seriously happy we tried them. The burgers are amazingly delicious. The grillmaster knows what they are doing for sure. I had the sweet potato fries, they came with a side of honey that was unexpected but worth it. My son had the onion rings, big and yummy. The service was excellent too, keeping our drinks full and made sure we had what we needed. All in all, we plan to go back to try some of their other burgers. Wish I had thought to take some pictures of our food as it deserved to be remembered

One of my all around favs! Nothing better than a “local bar” with high standards !!! I love the daily food specials !!! Mike and Cindy are super humble & welcoming always making a point to great their guests . The staff is not only attentive but fun!!! Do yourself a favor and check this place out if ya haven’t already !!
