Super fun McMenamins in McMinnville! This historic building houses not only a restaurant, a rooftop bar, but also a hotel. We did not see inside the hotel rooms, but the rest of the place is very cool, clean, and nicely decorated with retro style, much like other favorite McMenamins. The next time you are making the drive to or from the beach, definitely recommend stopping here for the satisfying burgers, spicy tots and beers on tap.

Really need more waitstaff. Our waitress delivered drinks and took the food order then disappeared.. ordered the Elk burger medium rare. It came well done. Tried to get the waitress to take it back. Every one else finished before we saw her again. Went to the roof top bar for drinks. Better service, limited selection of beer, wine and liquor.

McMenamins have really been going downhill lately. On a recent visit, my first to Hotel Oregon, I saw a very cool building, and a beautiful restaurant. We tried to eat at the rooftop bar, there were plenty of tables, but no shade to sit in. We went to the downstairs pub and waited to be seated, then waited for for menus, then waited for a waiter. It was nearly 25 minutes before we were able to put in our order even though other groups who were seated after us ordered right away. It’s the same menu as other locations, but food took 45 minutes, for burgers… 45 minutes for burgers, half of them were cold, half of the tots were cold as if the order had been sitting at the window for a long time. We didn’t eat most of the food, and we had to get up to request the check. McMenamins really needs to focus on operations, it’s just not worth trying to eat at these beautifully restored restaurants anymore.

I was served a cheeseburger that was cooked rare. I ate a quarter of it before I realized it. I didn’t order it rare and the idea of rare hamburger makes me worry if the meat reached adequate temperature and I worry about food poisoning. I don’t like complaining at restaurants but I tried to politely send it back and had it remade to go. I didn’t want to be the customer that complains but after spending $30 dollars on a burger and a drink, I should of had a good experience. I ended up with an upset stomach and a lighter wallet.

Great place to relax, have a drink and a delicious meal. The roof patio has great views, more sun shade is needed and due to short staffing we had to order atcthe bar. All in all, a great place to kick back and enjoy great conversation.
