Pastries were good but the cashier was not friendly at all. It’s all bad energy. You can tell she doesn’t want to be there. I spent $53 for 8 pastries so I asked her to put it in the box, she did but she charged me $5 for the box. After spending $53 for the pastries I didn’t feel like paying $5 for the box. I guess it’s okay if they tell you or at least “BE NICE, BE FRIENDLY, BE CONSIDERATE to the customers or at least smile and say thank you. Last thing, I regret TIPPING her.

The very very slow service was all forgiven by the most delicious food. Chicken with garlic confit and mushroom sauce and the veggie crepe entrees were super delicious and well executed. The chicken was served in shreds and was succulent, moist and tasty. The crepe looked like a dark flour was used, and was hot and a tiny bit crispy. However, the most epic thing I ate there was the chocolate mousse. Hands down, one of the best, if not the best, mousess I’ve ever had! All in all, it was a most delicious meal! I have a definite yearn to return to La Provence in Kula.

Would love it if the crêpes had fresh fruit too. The eggs Benedict was still delicious, eggs poached well. Need more hollandaise. Beautiful atmosphere!

My husband and I stopped here after watching the sunrise at HaleakalĀ. It is the cutest little spot. The pastry shop and coffees as open early and dining/breakfast start at 10am. We were early so we got some yummy quiche, the best berry mango scone I’ve ever had and some hot cocoa and lattes. I’m unsure why there are bad reviews for hours or service. The barista we spoke to was lovely, we had a great conversation and a couple of the customers that were local waiting behind us also were so kind. Interactions are dependent on one’s own attitude and willingness to be open/friendly, and not solely the responsibility of the server/waitstaff. I’d ignore the negative reviews and definitely pop in for morning coffee and pastries or to dine in after 10am.

Best quiche in my life. They rotate quiche availability. If you see bacon & bell pepper or goat cheese & tomato quiche don’t miss it. Also very fair price for upcountry.

What a rare jem to find a French Restaurant near the base of the Haleakala Mountain! Trina was a great host working the cafe bar making all sorts of espresso drinks & serving french inspired cuisine. Menu is small but well crafted! Be sure to leave some room for the french baked goods! The sticky buns were highly recommended!

On my first visit to this little bakery I wanted to try everything!! My bf and I thoroughly enjoyed a gorgeously crafted croissant and a perfectly baked mango scone. This place is a gem and they sell out early! Sweet and savory pastries as well as bread. Chill vibe, lovely folks, and of course a beautiful location. Keep them in business!!
