Ok so we just love this little French Bakery oasis in Upcountry Kula … Can get very busy but worth the wait. TIP: NO credit cards accepted so bring cash. Quiche and croissants, scones and more. Oh my!

Quaint little out of the way eatery. Fantastic bakery, the latte was good, and delicious salmon and spinach Eggs Benedict. Servers were friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Great stop for a quick lunch. Crepes were good. Nice little hole in the wall joint. The staff was so nice and did a great job. The waitress was great. Everything tasted amazing. The outdoor seating was great and shady. The pastries were also delicious. Worth a stop!

What a rare jem to find a French Restaurant near the base of the Haleakala Mountain! Trina was a great host working the cafe bar making all sorts of espresso drinks & serving french inspired cuisine. Menu is small but well crafted! Be sure to leave some room for the french baked goods! The sticky buns were highly recommended!

We were hoping for much more from La Provence: 1) they weren’t serving breakfast due to being short-staffed. No problem. We understood. 2) There were only two pastries in the bakery case so we thought we’d support them and purchased one of each pastry. 3) They only take cash or check; who has cash or a check these days? But, alas!, we managed to dig up enough cash between us and paid the $13 for the 2 pastries. 4) There were already dirty dishes sitting on the small window counter between the bakery area and the kitchen. We’d asked for a knife to cut the pastries so we could share them. The only place we could find in that small area was that same small counter so we proceeded to cut THEIR PASTRIES on it. The elderly gentleman (owner?) inside the kitchen GROUCHED at us for LEAVING CRUMBS after we cut HIS PASTRIES and for “not cleaning up after ourselves.” wow…. You only get one chance to make a good first impression. As far as we’re concerned, he blew it. 🙁

Wowowow. This place is INCREDIBLE. I had the crab cake eggs benedict, and my husband had the crab and spinach crepe. Both were phenomenal. My husband continuously said he thinks it’s one of the best meals he’s ever eaten. The added salad was a bonus surprise and whatever the dressing combo was, it was unbeatable.

Crepes and eggs Benedict were top notch. Pastries were wonderful. Lovely outdoor seating. Service was a bit frazzled, I think they were down a server and she was coping as best she could. One great thing the server did mention was that since we’d be waiting for our table to be available that if we wanted pastry to buy them now since there was lots of takeout traffic and what was available was all that was left. Just for fun as we were leaving I checked to see how much was left and it wasn’t much. So she did guarantee that we had a dessert!!

This was a great place. The crab cake and eggs benedict was yummy. It was cooked perfectly. The side salad was so fresh and the lilikoi dressing was perfect.
