This isn’t our first rodeo! We ordered 3 fifth floor pints, 1 blackberry cider, the special (Newtons Third Law) & the BLAT with egg. Beers were under poured. The food was terribly disappointing especially due to the mini portion size. Both meals were very small & all of the tater tot’s arrived pale white, undercooked & way smaller portion size than usual. Were told the soup was very good but clearly the bowl was not filled & Cajun tots were seriously over salted & mini portion. The server was attentive & efficient but slightly aggressive with zero smiles. We felt rushed . It wasn’t the appropriate time to complain as we’ve been to many McMenamins and know what we are in for usually & we were hungry with minimal time plus so many things were an issue. We also didn’t want to distract from our limited time together. Sorry no photos to share on this. Leaving hungry after dropping 16.75 & 19.75 for sandwiches is regrettable.

Although I was initially skeptical of this location being in a strip mall, I feel like they did a good job with the build out because it feels very homey and fits in with the McMenamins brand. The food is consistent and the service is great. Everyone was super friendly and quick.

We both ordered the Reuben and neither one had any flavor to them other than a hint of Swiss cheese. The meat was soooo bland, obviously boiled at one point; the secret sauce was horrid (it’s supposed to be Thousand Island or something close to it) and the sour kraut wasn’t even close to being fresh – even that had no flavor. Probably the worst Reuben I have ever had and I’ve had many, damn near grew up on them.
What really threw me for a loop is they were out of the Cajun spice for the tots. McMinnies is known for the Cajun Tots, probably one of their most popular sides and they were out of the spice? How the hell do you run out of spices? Isn’t someone keeping tabs on this? Geeeez. You should be buying pallets of that stuff.
Maybe it was this particular location as I have been to many others (Eastside, Westside, Raleigh Hills, Edgefield, Lincoln City, Gearhart, Grand Lodge, Roadhouse, Sherwood…everywhere! And what’s the deal with allowing people to play board games inside? The constant roll of dice was a bit annoying considering you didn’t have any music playing, nothing, nadda, zilch, keiner!
+1 for the rare Purple Haze on tap, it helped A LOT. lol

Lunch on a Tuesday in the second week in October. I beat the lunch rush and got a seat at the bar. Rick was my server and he was on the ball with beer and making sure my food was on the spot. I had fish and tots, Cajun tots. The slaw was lacking as almost all restaurants are for the fish and chips. This was a consistent mcmenimens, clean well managed and the menu was predictable. The fish was cooked perfectly and the tots as well. The only bad comment is the WiFi has lots of issues

Nice little neighborhood place to eat. On a 100 degree day, good to relax in the A/C. The menu has just about something for everyone. Happy Hour takes a buck or two off a short list of selected items. Always have had great customer service.
