McMenamins Imbrie Hall in Hillsboro feels like a portal to another world. I had the **Captain Neon Burger**, which was juicy and packed with flavor, perfectly paired with their **Rose City Ale**—light, floral, and refreshing. For dessert, the **brownie** was rich and decadent, the perfect sweet ending to a dreamy meal.

Another fun and unique McMenamins experience. Great indoor or outdoor dining. It can get busy in the evenings. Outdoor seating is popular in the summer. Make sure to explore the grounds.

The grounds are beautiful, parking is plenty and the restaurant is stunning with rich history and having a working pellet burning stove inside makes it cozy.
BUT… I had much higher expectations coming here.
The host (tall younger Girl) was cold slightly abrasive.
Service is very very slow, waitress was pleasant but did not come back for refills or anything.
For waiting so long I was very surprised the food was no longer hot.
Food was not cold but luke-warm and. It enjoyable to eat but as long as it took to get our food we elected not to send back.
I wish I could say the taste and quality of the food made the wait worth it but it was not!
The food seemed mediocre with temp and taste.
Unless Management gave us a reason to try again I don’t see us going back.
I cannot recommend this place to eat.

Love this location!! I haven’t had any problems in the past. My wife and I just went for my birthday lunch. We waited a while to order. It took about 50 minutes to receive our orders. Our waiter never checked in with us and walked past us when we were finished. Other than that, the food was great and had a good time enjoying each others company in the cozy atmosphere.

Food was great. The only problem was that my husband got the stew and it was barely warm. The carrots were actually cold. They did bring a replacement bowl and it was nice and hot. Our server was very nice and helpful with suggestions. I got the salmon with bacon jam. It was very good.

I’ve reviewed Imbrie Hall a few times now. The experience here varies a lot depending on the staff. Tonight the staff was not the best crew that I have experienced, slower and not very friendly. Food quality always seems to high quality. How it’s prepared and presented is the variable. Tonight the plate presentation was off, the food was off compared to previous nights seeing the same food. Went to the White Shed, experience was way off from previous. This bar tender totally lacks the personality and skill of other bar tenders. Overall okay night just not up to par with other experiences, fortunately I had the previous good experiences otherwise I would not be returning.

The owner refuses to turn down the heat for employees, it gets so flipping hot that employees are literally heat stroking, nauseous and in some cases throwing up. That is insane and Ridiculous…Give these employees some rights, turn the heat down dude. It is known that restaurants that have it a little chillier, can get customers moving quicker which will in turn give you more room for tables to be filled, making you more money do you not know business?

Service was decent, nothing special, to be honest. Just a quick exchange of words, lol. Food took a little longer than expected.
I ordered the fish n chips. ( One of their specialties ) for 23$. I was hoping for more than 2 pieces of fish. Tried the French … they were really soft. My guess is they use the frozen ones.
The sabertooth hot wings were, however, absolutely perfect, was a good-sized portion.
Once food came, we never saw the server again. Didn’t come back to check our drinks or ask if the food was okay. ( it wasn’t busy )
I was honestly going to leave a 3 star review, but the bar tender Jamie A. Was honestly awesome. Super knowledgeable, good conversation, and man watching her pour drinks!!! She’s awesome for real! Needless to say, the tip I would give left my server went to her. ( easily deserved )
Oh, and the Mocha Milkshake is 12$, but it’s worth every penny!
Probably wouldn’t return for food. Doubt I would recommend this place to anyone.

It was so delicious I recommend this place!They are quite busy so you may have to wait quite a while for your order. But it’s worth it! They have their own craft beer which is very tasty.

She had the special menu item Hei hei pizza…. had a grand total of 5 pieces of chicken, the rest of the pizza was a salt lick.
And I had the beef dip sandwich with fries. Looked great till you put one in your mouth and they were hard, as in crunchy hard. I brought these points up to the server and the reply was “you are not wrong, this is a common complaint” then walked away….. no attempt to fix the problem.
The sandwich was good.
Don’t think I’m coming back any time soon.
