Had a pretty easy decent experience here. It really wasn’t anything that special but it was okay. My wife had a hot buttered rum and a salad with some chicken. I had a let’s dance IPA and a Reuben sandwich. We shared a black and tan dessert. It felt a little awkward just hanging out indoors with no mask on which is weird to feel awkward about but it is what it is. It was really nice to spend some time with my wife for dinner and the decor inside here looks really nice..

This wasn’t a great experience. They were short staffed and pretty busy so the slowness wasn’t shocking, but it took us 2 1/2 hrs to order, get our food, and eat it. My friend’s burger was charred and not in a good way. I also saw some cleanliness issues. Staff was friendly throughout even though I expect they were stressing. They didn’t even throw the cook under the bus when they totally could have. We may try one more time to see if this is the norm or if it was a one off.

I keep giving McMenamins chances. But every-time, whenever I go, it is just sub par. Or should I say “sub bar.” The McDonald’s of Pubs. Everyone right now is sitting outside in the rain because the inside smells like a McDonald’s play place. Sticky and grimy. Not clean. Cleaning is easy cmon! My 10 year old can clean better. For free! A burger is $17+ dollars? It better cure cancer. I’ve been waiting 20 mins just for an order of fries. I got a beer and fries and it was $20 including an 18% tip. Yikes! I guess I will keep trying because I love to support local stuff here in Oregon, but cmon. Gotta step up your game. You can’t expect higher prices than other Oregon owned business with lower quality of service and food. Please. I’m rooting for you! Covid is over! No more excuses!

Normally I love McMenamins but this was just such a frustrating experience. It was hard to get the waitress’ attention so we were parched for most of our meal and when we were able to ask for ketchup and drinks she didn’t get it to us until we were pretty much done eating. I think maybe they were understaffed but if that’s the case, there’s better ways of dealing with being understaffed. My order was wrong, and pictured is the pathetic fish and chips (that looks wildly different from every other McMenamins) that we paid $20 for.
