Rooted in the former pioneer farming mecca, our Hillsboro pub is now in a high-tech haven of Hillsboro where a six-acre farmstead is today a colorful oasis with buildings and barns that date to the mid-1850s. Here you’ll also find one of McMenamins’ top-producing breweries, and the modern-day Imbrie Hall Pub (built from the timbers of Portland’s historic Henry Weinhards brewery). You may also enjoy the cozy wee bar known as the Little White Shed, along with plenty of outdoor summer seating.

One of the McMenamins we enjoy frequently visiting to grab a meal, a drink, and/or a snack. Super fun to try the various beers they make as well as their whiskey. The food is pretty good and they do have a seasonal menu. The cajun tots are a big reason we eat here and I’d highly recommend trying them. The option for indoor and outdoor seating is nice depending on the season. If you’re sitting outdoors they usually have the fire pits running. The white shed is also great if you’re looking for to grab a beer, whiskey, or wine outdoors and/or cigars. The service can be a little slow depending on how busy they are. Definitely a great place to take people that are visiting along with many other McMenamins locations.

Reuben sandwich was very, very good. Meat was tender, kraut was not overpowering, just overall a great lunch. Pretzel appetizer with beer cheese dip was a must. Server was personable and attentive. Love visiting this location every time we are in town.

Stopped into McMenamins Roadhouse with the boys for ciders and NA beers, and it was exactly what we needed. Cajun tots hit the spot while we swapped fish stories about catching exactly zero fish at Hagg Lake. Rain outside, laughs inside, good vibes all around. Perfect place to dry out, unwind, and lean into the fun times.

Huge shout out to Chelsie, she went above and beyond and made our experience so pleasant. She was so amazing with our son and gave us a perfect amount of space to enjoy our meal as a family while checking in on us here and there. She greeted my husband and my son immediately and encouraged them to go check out the upstairs section since my son was clearly enjoying their fans (if your kid loves fans they are extra special here). Happy hour menu was great, kids grilled cheese was delicious, we will be back and hopefully served by Chelsie.

2/28/2025 – food wasn’t as good this time. Maybe because it was a Friday and smashed? The French onion soup was way over salted. Truffle pizza could have used a slightly thicker crust to hold up to the toppings. Tater tots were awesome again and the service was also great.

Great atmosphere, and a bunch of historic buildings and gardens to explore. Food was just OK, and service was painfully slow. We waited 40 minutes for pizza and a sandwich, even though the place was almost empty. Beautiful scenic environment though, and still worth seeing.

This location has DELICIOUS food!! Everything we had including dessert was well made and came out pretty fast on a Friday night! Love coming here and taking a walk around the property before or after our meal.

They have indoor/ outdoor seating and the property is a neat place to look around. The food was $20+ for a plate and I have to say we have had way better food at a fast food place. We order the nachos and fish/ chips. My fish wasn’t too bad but my fries were cold and tasted like they had been sitting out for a while. My wife’s chips on her nachos were stale and the chicken was dry. The service was subpar but they could have been busy due to a rehearsal dinner. It took forever to get food and to get our check.
