McKenzie Landing nailed the Merry, Merry and Yummy, Yummy for our party!
After creating a wildly successful Thanksgiving event, we knew they were the perfect place for our company Christmas party. They created a completely new off-menu dining experience, starting with appetizers by the fireplace and then our choice of 3 entrees and 3 desserts – chocolate lava cake, triple layer cake and turtle cheesecake. WOWEEE!
The staff wasn’t just friendly, they were professional. What a refreshing combination! We can’t thank them enough for making us feel special.
If you’re planning a party, you can’t go wrong with the team at McKenzie Landing!

I expected the food to be overpriced because of the area it’s in and the atmosphere, but it was priced perfectly for this scraggly blue collar bloke to wander by on my lunch break.
I don’t usually work in that area, and no gas stations were convenient to drive to for lunch;
So I took a chance and walked in sweaty and dirty, amongst locals who have expensive homes and boats on the river, and still got great service. The menu was great, too.
I ordered, ate, and left in about the same time as a fast food joint, but got to enjoy my meal while looking out at the river. Hidden gem for sure.

Beautiful dining room with quality food! We had the salad bar, shrimp, and au gratins. The shrimp was probably the biggest I’ve ever eaten. The bar area is a nice space with pull tabs, pool, and slots. The owner made us feel welcome. We will definitely be back!!

First time here. We are from Nashville, visiting my Sister’s family at the cabin on Middle McKenzie Lake. Came Labor Day weekend on Saturday evening. Love music outside. We got a table without a reservation. The waitress, Izzy, was delightful. Soup and salad bar was great. And are dinner was wonderful. Will definitely return on future visit.

I stopped in 2 times within a few days. Fish fry is all you can eat for $15.00. It was very good. The waitress I had that day was fantastic!
I stopped on my way home, different waitress, she was very slow and disappointing. But the food is really good. Right now help is very hard to find, so I guess waiting a little longer is understanding.
The view if the Chippewa is so beautiful! Great place to stop. They have some really nice seating by the water. So pretty.

Great spot for a nice meal. We had a larger group and they accommodated us perfectly. Group had a variety of meals and most of us did the salad bar! Great server and drinks were made well.

Don’t get on any of their football boards!! A good old boys table including the owner, claim they won every board (there were multiple ones) during the packer lions game tonight – WHAT ARE THE ODDS OF THAT. No announcements of winners at halftime or game end which the number boards were for, why was that? When I asked the staff “who won”, because we were on multiple boards & obviously wanted to know, they just pointed at the big table, with the owner, & said “they won”! Don’t waste your money. Our waiter Ty was great & shrimp cocktail was good. Will not ever get on any board ever again there, it’s just a donation to the establishment. No wonder the state is cracking down on this type of racketeering & this place should be on their list.

We stopped at McKenzie Landing on Thursday for supper and had a good time on their patio. My husband had the broiled walleye, our daughter had the beef stroganoff special, and I had the jumbo shrimp. The walleye was good, the special was ok, but the jumbo shrimp were really good, as well as the service! Bit spendy, but worth it!!
We stopped back to visit for a drink and appetizer later Saturday afternoon and that visit didn’t go as well. Not sure if would stop again if visit the Spooner area again.
