My culinary adventures have focused on the flavor profiles of traditional Irish dishes. Yes, there is more than potatoes on the menu. I am traveling within reasonable distances of my home to experience the flavors.
For example, one establishment provided a Flight of 3 menu items before committing to eating one, which was enjoyable; however, their shepherd’s pie was prepared with sweetness/sweetened rather than savory flavors, which didn’t bode well for me.
Today’s adventurous goal was to experience “bangers and mash,” as there appear to be a couple of variations of this dish made with either Guinness, Port wine, or beef stock.
When typing Bangers and Mash into Yelp and Google Maps, this establishment was an option for consideration. I verified that the item was on the menu and read the reviews.
Upon our arrival, we were greeted well and seated forthwith. We started to place our orders when I noticed that the food item I was seeking wasn’t on the menu. When I inquired about the Bangers and Mash, I was told it was no longer available. Disappointed, I opted for the Shepherd’s pie.
While I couldn’t obtain the item I hoped for, the experience wasn’t bad. The shepherd’s pie was well-made and presented well; a large portion is served in an individual cast-iron pan. The flavor profiles were quite good, very savory and rich. The flavor spectrum touched all of the sensory elements. I found it quite enjoyable.
My journey continues.

I order the pierogis every week during NFL season. They’re always so good with sautéed onions, bacon pieces, and a drizzle of sour cream. Today, they came to the table with no bacon pieces and very little onions. I mentioned it to the waitress. She apologized and brought out another order with more onions and bacon. Delicious and outstanding service.

Came in late on a Sunday night and was the only customer there. The staff had no problem serving me and we’re friendly and helpful. Fish and chips were great, big filets and perfectly cooked. Look forward to returning.

We went on St. Patrick’s Day they had live music lots of entertaining things to do outside and of course corn beef and cabbage, and green beer. We got the corn beef and cabbage which was served through a buffet line. It was VERY busy, Alyssa J was still very attentive and friendly.

A hidden little spot in an unassuming strip mall.
Looks like a possible seedy watering hole for the locals but once you get inside you can see the real charm. We went in the evening to have a little date. It can be both a great place to eat some wings while watching a game, or cozy date night.
Had the shepherds pie and my date had the super spicy tacos.
Add two cocktails and we still spent less than fifty bucks
The service was great as well too notch, didn’t have to wait too long for anything.

We have always gone to the location on Jekyll Island. We were craving some Wee Pub and saw they had a location closer so we road tripped up for dinner. I had the Dublin Attorney (Blackened shrimp, pasta, whiskey cream sauce, green onion, bacon, garlic toast) and my dining companion had the Shepard Pie (really Cottage Pie as it’s made with beef). We ended our evening splitting the Butter Pecan Bread Pudding which is amazing.

Stopped to grab an early dinner, typical pub style food, service was slow despite the fact that there were only two tables that had people at them when we got here. The waitress was nice but more of a “drive by” type that she was only asking if we need anything as she was walking past not really pausing to really engage us on if we needed anything else. My husband ordered the wings and I ordered the pasta. I can honestly say I rarely salt anything and the pasta definitely needed it, otherwise it was good. Hubby’s comment about the wings were they needed more sauce and couldn’t determine whether it was blue cheese or ranch to dip them in so he took a pass on that. Ambiance is good if you are just looking for a local pub to have a drink this seems like a great spot. I gave it an extra star for that.
