I cannot recommend this place enough. My family and I JUST finished eating here and I must say, this is the BEST “hole in the wall” restaurant that I’ve ever been to! The Birria Tacos were AMAZING. Our waitress was super sweet, as sweet as the sweet tea! HIGHLY recommend coming here if you want to try something new!

We’ve driven by here hundreds of times but never stopped until this past week. We dined in on a Friday evening. Plenty of seating (it started to fill up after 630pm), very friendly and welcoming staff plus great food/ margaritas. The prices were right on par with similar restaurants. Glad we finally chose to try them out.

So I have visited enough times now to get a good feel for the place.
When you get here be sure to order the bean dip it is a fantastic start to the meal. The Chips and Salsa are on par with the other (10+) Mexican restaurants in Milford.
The Quesadillas are the best in Cincinnati plain and simple allowing the freshness and quality ingredients do all the flavoring I order it with just chicken and cheese, definitely worth getting.
My wife has now enjoyed the Fajita Burrito several times now and is her go to meal. It’s a wonderfully well balanced combo of steak, chicken and veggies with a good drizzle of queso, again all great quality, no heavy spices or under seasoning.
The reason to go here is the Molcajete that has Steak, Chicken, Shrimp (on the side for me), chorizo, cactus, thick strips of cheese, and jalapeno! This is such a big meal and again quality great tasting food yet again. Has a kick but is very good, maybe a mild heat level. Not a fan of the Spanish rice it always seems to come out dry, but on par with the other Mexican restaurants in the area.

Lovely little Mexican place that I do not think many know about or have tried. Food is good. Love the taco salad and queso! Great portion sizes. Ate off the lunch menu. Multiple options that are also on the dinner menu and great prices. Servers are very nice and attentive. Hope others will give this local place a try.

So much to tell….where to start? So when we arrived their was a wet puddle under the table and it was extremely wobbly so we had to switch tables. They brought lots of homemade chips and salsa. The chips were fine but the salsas were disappointing I even thought I tasted mustard in one of them. The waiter did make an effort but spoke little to no English and had to repeatedly have the lady come over to translate for him. The beans were literally ROTTEN and I told the lady who aknowledged they sat on the warmer too long as apposed to just making fresh ones. The food was bland and lacked authentic Mexican flavor. Im from California so Ive had authentic food from mom and pop resteraunts all over the West Coast and this didn’t come remotely close. For desert we ordered flan, a fried ice cream and a regular scoop of vanilla plain. They brought 2 fried with the fudge and whip cream after repeatedly telling him 1 plain scoop. After letting him know, He brought me a scoop which was half melted and resembled a vanilla shake on a plate. When we went to pay the bill I told her she needed to take 1 of the fried ice creams off and she had an attitude about it asking us if we took it? No the waiter brought it and never took it back and my 5 year old ate some since it was left sitting. The best part of the food was the water and the flan. I don’t know how this place got such high reviews which is what drew us over, that and it being close. Very disappointing a waste of my money and time.

We stop in here often because the food is consistently great and the service is really good. The birria tacos are a favorite, and the margaritas are always delicious. Renee loves the quesadilla and the guacamole.
Solid spot we’re happy to keep coming back to.

We decided to come here on a whim in October and it’s been on my mind since. We ordered the birria tacos and street tacos both times and were amazed both times. I’d never had birria tacos before, but they are now my new favorite.

Agave Azul is hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve been to! I ordered the Pick 2 with a chile relleno and a chicken chimichanga, and both were absolutely delicious. The chile relleno was perfectly crispy on the outside and stuffed with flavorful goodness, while the chimichanga was golden, crunchy, and packed with juicy, well-seasoned chicken. The side of guacamole was fresh and creamy, the perfect complement to the meal. The service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I’ll definitely be coming back—highly recommend!

My absolute favorite Mexican food restaurant in Cincinnati! Everything we’ve had is so good! Highly recommend. Plus it’s the only place I’ve found with horchata.
Maria is the best. We love her!
