My phone got stolen from the table, inside of the restaurant. On 23.01.2026 I was having a quick meal in the restaurant at 16h00. Sitting right at the back corner in front of a window by the toilette door. Someone was heavily knocking on the window from outside then pointing on a car… while I turned back to look what he wants, then back, my phone was gone from the table, inside of the place. Then immediately asked for the manager to check the footage if we can still find them as they were working as group. First the staff did not want to call the manager, they did not care, Eventually the manager appears, then the manager with a very ‘do not care too much’ attitude went away to check the CCTV footage. 10 minutes later manager was still nowhere. I told them must rush otherwise I will miss my flight. This like meant nothing to them… eventually after 15 minutes waiting I had to leave otherwise I in fact would have missed my flight. Beyond unacceptable approach from McDonadls management at this place. It is a disgrace towards your customers. FYI I am busy talking to a lawyer about this situation. Police case has been opened.
27.01.2026 I have completed McDonalds’ feedback form as per the link below and requested. Up until end of business today nobody has contacted me from McDonalds… The Police from Sea Point tough called me 3 times with regards the matter. They lot more worry about me and the making the effort then McDonalds so far… Waiting for lawyer’s feedback as well.

As usual… slow. Bad service. And today no small burger rolls! So they force you to buy a bigger more expensive burger… but wait it gets better, the soda was warm with one ice block and to top it all off they gave me the wrong burger which i only realized once having left the drive through. This McDonald’s could possibly be the worst one in South Africa.

Newly renovated, same problems.
After ordering at the Drive Thru, they told me the card machine doesn’t work and politely asked if I could pay indside. I get inside and there wasn’t a single visible staff member. I wasn’t the only one who wasn’t told to come pay inside
Now I don’t have an order number and I consider ordering from the machine again and the one staff member tells me I don’t need to, since they will have been busy with my order, I just need to pay, but doesn’t help me complete the transaction. I ended up leaving since I had decided enough of my time had been wasted

The lady at the drive through was so unprofessional. She asked me what i want to order i gave her my full order for 5 people then after 5 minutes she asked again i asked her didn’t she hear me so i ordered again then again she ask me i got upset and ask her am i talking to her or myself she just ignored me and ask for my order again. When i gave it to her she talked with someone else not asking me to hold wait or anything as i got to the window she was just rude and never even apologized. Never going back there again.

Food is not great and chips always old. And service is terrible I work in the area and sometimes I don’t bring lunch and it’s bad that this is the only drive though or food place in the area . If this gets taken down I’m contacting corporate .

Looking at the current state of this store, appearance of staff, ability to address our order, finding a staff member to assist at the Mac Cafe, no serviettes provided, no chips in the order, no tomato sauce, staff not speaking properly, staff not knowing the menu, as well as the managers ability to address our complaint, I am disappointed at the down grade that this particular branch has undergone. More competent staff is required. You need to fix your inside chairs as the leatherette covers are broken, please do yourself a favor and visit the Paarden Eiland branch and take some tips on how every customer is attended to from the moment they walk in.
