Wow. This place was busy and booming. A very professional and kindly woman, I did not get her name, served us. She was wonderful. Very helpful and courteous. My nephew was excited about a Grimace so my something or other. She steered us through the order to everyone’s satisfaction. Everyone was working hard for the Holiday crowd. It was a good thing. I will be back when in the area.

This McDonald’s location is so hit and miss it’s absolutely pitiful. Why I waited over 5 minutes at the drive thru window for cookies is beyond me…I thought perhaps they were baking them fresh! However, to my dismay I was not only greeted at the window with zero eye contact or a simple “thank you for waiting” but the cookies were room temp at best, and when I kindly thanked the window person he says: “yeah no problem” with the most insincere and unenthused tone. Last guy I got at the window had the strongest cologne or aftershave doused all over his hands it made my bag and frappe wreak of CHEAP cologne, whilst also having the most smug personality ever (promise you I am only kind to these people and they wouldn’t know the difference lmao) !! Way to go Gateway McDonald’s I’m sure your franchisee puts zero effort into quality training and customer service skills…go figure

I understand that people who are working late may have a difficult job, but my standard for food safety and guidelines does not change regardless of what hour it is. I found a hair inside my burger, which definitely doesn’t meet food safety and guidelines.

Honestly it’s harder to get the employees attention than anything else and it’s clear it’s by design. The company clearly, (and has for quite sometime) not cared about the customer experience. Drive thru? Get parked, going inside? No one manning the counter, have an issue with your order? Assistant managers (if you could call them that) will just get intense and throw a refund at your face instead of trying to care even remotely. It’s a mcdonalds. Eventually they’ll raise prices to the point no one will eat here anymore.

Got food from here this early morning and not too long after (3hrs later) started throwing up and having a high fever. Got food poisoning from here, do not recommend. I was perfectly fine before consuming from McDonald’s- Have had it before but this time the food was bad and they still gave it to me, not only myself but my family as well got sick!

As a delivery driver this McDonald’s is nothing but a pain in the neck. Can’t keep a consistent lobby schedule to save their lives, used to be open sometimes, closed other times. The drive thru is slow as hell, often backed up for 20+ minutes causing delivery pickups to often lose alot of money due to the wait. Then they started leaving the door by the drive thru open for delivery to pick up which helped alot, often still a 5-10 min wait but still better than the drive thru. Now it seems to be arbitrarily random again whether even the drive thru door is open for delivery drivers. This is getting old.
