This was an interesting case. My friend got a double quarter pounder, bless him. And when he received it it was mostly raw with a little browning on the top and bottom, so I’m saying that the clamshell grill requires evaluation. He told them that it was raw, and they reviewed it and promptly agreed to remake the burger, I suggested they bring the grill down twice so it was well done. I suggest everyone do this regardless because it tastes way better that way, try it. He also received fries and stated they were cold and not fresh, in reality they were slightly warm. I’d recommend recalibrating the headlamp for the fry station. He asked for them to be remade fresh, and the older lady employee respectfully agreed. So the bottom line is that there were issues and those issues were promptly and respectfully resolved. Good people, great staff. You can not say that about all McDonald’s…

Worst McDonald’s experience of my life! We brought kids in with coupons for free icecream cones. Theresa, the manager, was SO rude! Apparently this particular store does not take any coupons. Regardless, no customer should ever be treated the way we were.
We left and went to the other McDonald’s at 5090 Commercial St. SE. They are friendly and accept coupons.

The location at 4020 commercial street opens at 5am but they never turn on the light M signs making it hard to see this location in the dark. This is a consistent issue, I get my order and have to tell them the light is off. My guess is that it’s easier on the morning crew if no one knows they are open

Drive through after 8pm is slllooooww as molasses!!!
I sat in a line of three other cars for 9 minutes!!!!
The lady working the first window was super short and snippy. Second window was polite and gave me my food with a “have a good night”, that was nice.
This is the second time this week I have stopped in after I get off work (after 8pm) and it was slow the first time as well.
I mean 9 minutes….what in the holy crap is that? I would have backed out of the drive through if not for the car coming in.
Fyi: at that time of the evening you can literally drive to the McDonald’s off kuebler / commercial and get your food before this place. Sad.

This is absolutely the worst McDonald’s location is Salem. The restaurant is always filthy dirty. You can’t find a clean table in the place and the floors are extremely dirty. I’ve almost fallen down a couple of times because the floor was so slippery.
They don’t keep the ketchup stocked and keep the straws behind the counter. If you need either, they will ignore you and make you wait. It’s almost impossible to get anyone to acknowledge you when standing up at the counter.
The food is hit or miss with the freshness but that’s pretty common for most locations that I’ve been to.

They forgot the fast part of fast food. Placed my order in the app, went through the drive thru, and now have been waiting in the parking lot for 20 MINUTES. Would have been faster to go to a sit down restaurant.

Probably the best McDonalds in town, but still struggles with quality issues. Always check your bag before you leave the lot! Additionally, parking is horrible. There is not enough spaces during the busiest points of the day. The mobile order spaces are for compact cars, and are extremely hard to maneuver. The drive thru also has people pull behind the mobile order spaces and it’s almost hazardous to try and back out.

We sat in the car at curbside 3 and waited 15 minutes then went inside to find out what the problem was and waited another 7 minutes. And it was not busy. There literally was not more than 10-15 people in that 20 minutes. Terrible terrible service. The food was hot and fresh so at least it hadn’t been sitting there.
The employees did not say a word of sorry. They could have cared less. Didn’t even notice. I have no idea but it was bad

Hands down my favorite McDonald’s in Salem! The crew is amazing, always going the extra mile in service. I bring residents from a nearby retirement home there on a regular basis and the crew is especially attentive and considerate when we come.
The sweet young gal who brought me a free ice water on a 100° day while I was loading my mobility challenged residents is truly one of the nicest people I’ve met in my years of customer service. She exemplifies outstanding customer service!
