**see McDonald’s reply below….I’m sure it’s autogenerated because there’s no need for additional information when I’ve written it all in spending my time doing this and they want me to do more work for their negligence closing restrooms to paying patrons. This has been an issue for MONTHS and supposedly McDonald’s cares . Please. Spare me the niceties. I did your little report anyway. It would be nice if I never see the restroom closed to paying patrons ever again unless it’s literally in need of a plumber or so gross it’s literally safer to not use. However, I won’t hold my breath waiting.
I found myself drawn to the McAlter myself just recently and while my heart was clogged with nostalgia at the smells of hot fries and what looks like sizzling beef, my wallet experienced no such relief.
Interestingly, the food was less greasy than I remember from my childhood. Everything arrived hot and fresh with minimal delay. The few veggies trimming my sandwich seemed crisp and fresh. The waxy American cheese imparted it’s mild flavor and generally all was a I remembered. My craving satisfied, the demon relinquished his grasp upon me and remanded his fuzzy red hair and shiny yellow onesie to the ether from which he sprang.
I was impressed by the cold hard efficiency of the kiosk that has replaced the front desk. No longer are the employees distracted by unnecessary interaction with customers. Instead, they can put their heads down and really focus on frying frozen pies and slinging salt at steaming piles of fries as of trying to cast out their own demons.
While I can’t in good conscience recommend the place in the framing of any health conscious rhetoric, I also can’t say that I won’t go back. Perhaps it is a curse, or the allure of a grim purple smile cast from the shadows behind the bench seating, but something always brings me back…
I walked in greeted by towers of digital order banks into an empty, very sterile looking dining area without a condiment, plastic wrapped utensil, napkin or soda machine with cups & such in sight; just a bare counter, and the walk-up counter had a single register with nobody behind it. That was it.
I felt like I was in a post apocalyptic McDonald’s and was sort of hoping for a robot to come out with my order to solidify my initial viewpoint.
Asked the man with blank stare as he printed my receipt at first window “can I please get a small courtesy cup of ice?”
“i’ll radio them and let them know.” I thanked him.
Drove to the second window, received the meal I payed for, looked at the woman and then asked “can I please have a courtesy cup of ice?”
She was holding it next to the window. Why I had to ask three times for a cup of ice is beyond me.
You must call it a courtesy cup otherwise they will cut you off with “all sales are final,” interruption.
Customer service on par with an ogre or troll, Mcdonalds Pahoa.
This is absolutely disgusting that they try to makee eat food opened and handled by people in another car. Absolutely disgusting.
