A friend and I visited this location this afternoon. I placed a mobile order to be picked up inside. We arrived about 10 minutes later and noticed the drive thru was slammed. The lobby was fairly empty. The gentleman at the counter greeted us and went to grab my order. It took a bit and during the wait an impatient gentleman arrived waiting for his order as well. We were expecting a confrontation from the guest but when the male employee came back he was very nice, apologized for the wait and even explained to the gentleman they were short staffed today. For being short staffed, the lobby was spotless, the tone of the environment was very calm, the gentleman running the counter and running the drive thru orders outside was very organized and polite to everyone. Was really impressed with the location today. It was great teamwork. Bathrooms were very clean, customers inside were still waited on in a timely manor and the drive thru was moving quick. Definitely an awesome crew working today. Should be proud of them!

Today I had a very disappointing experience at the McDonald’s in Hollister, Missouri.
I placed an order through the McDonald’s app and arrived at the drive-thru at 12:41 p.m. The restaurant was not busy—there was only one car in front of me. I gave the employee my order code, received my receipt quickly, and was then asked to pull forward into a waiting space. I didn’t think much of it at the time and assumed my food would at least be fresh and hot.
Unfortunately, that’s where the problem began. I waited in the parking space for fifteen minutes without receiving my order. After that, I went inside the restaurant to request—honestly, to demand—a refund. Even then, it took several more minutes to get my money back. It almost felt intentional, especially when they attempted to give me the food after I came inside. By that point, however, it was too late.
It’s a shame to see a once-reliable brand decline so much. Prices have risen to the point that the food is becoming unaffordable for many people, while both the quality of the food and the level of service seem to have decreased. Portions are smaller, food is frequently cold—no one wants cold, soggy fries—and customer service continues to deteriorate.
I understand that businesses, especially fast-food restaurants, are dealing with higher labor costs and staffing challenges. However, customers should still receive a basic level of service rather than feeling ignored or treated poorly.
Because of this experience, I will be boycotting McDonald’s in the future and will encourage my family and friends to do the same. It’s disappointing to see such a well-known brand fall so far from what it once was.
Perhaps it’s time for McDonalds to fade into the past and cease to exist.
A very unhappy and disappointed customer.

Visit was 12/4/25 5:40PM. Drive thru. We ordered our food at 5:44 We finally made it to the pick up window at 6:10. Not fast food in my opinion. However the food was good which is why I didn’t give 1 star. At the pay window I gave a large bill to pay with. A manager was called to accept the bill which I did expect. By the facial expressions of the employee and manager I waved at them to get their attention and my exact words were if the large bill is a problem and I can use a card to pay. The girl running the registers response was polite and acceptable. The managers response after they close the window was one of the most unprofessional things I’ve seen. Tongue out rocking back and forth like a child and obviously making derogatory comments as he made change. When the girl handed me my change her demeanor obviously followed suit of the man child manager. It’s obvious the leadership at this place is non existent. I will add the girl running the pick up window was quite pleasant and did a great job.

The best Double Quarter Pounder I’ve had in my life. It was fresh and delicious. The team here is also excellent, kind, and friendly. Thank you guys, keep up the good work. Ryan and Logan were the managers and they were excellent, with a great team.

Horrible experience. Line was completely backed up so I went inside for a mobile order I said I would pick up at the drive thru. Went inside and didn’t get helped or greeted for at least 10 minutes. Then when she finally did come, I ask if I can just grab the order inside. She had to go ask a manager if I could do so, and was told no. I had to go into the app and change it to pick-up at counter, and that she didn’t know how to do it. Left me with no help, and waiting in the drive thru line for an additional 20 minutes. Then when I get to the window, nobody can find my order? All around horrible experience, do better. Not sure why the order couldn’t have just been grabbed and handed to me. Employee’s did not create a great atmosphere, nobody looked like they wanted to be there and wasn’t helpful with things they should know.

Ordered on the APP, as always, 5 minutes before arrival. Pulled into my slot, #3, and waited. 15 minutes later I went inside to check the status of my order. When asked the young man about my order, I was automatically given excuses and overheard him telling others that I was acting like I was privileged because I ordered on the app. I was not acting in no such way. All I asked was the status of my order 20 minutes after placing the order. I doubt if I’ll go back to this store if this is McDonald’s new way of treating repeat costumers and I will spead the word.

Mostly good but Mobil orders are always wrong. I haven’t gotten what I Mobil ordered I placed in a long time.
I know it stinks when I have to hold the drive through up looking aty order.
The line is mostly slow to slower and I hate to order ice cream because it melts down the cone before I can get it.
We try and order when most people haven’t eaten like 1:30 pm but the big Mac was dry as a bone. A little drop of Special sauce on one bun.

Warning eat at your own risk. Now I am not saying it’s always bad. But when I got my 2 spicy chicken sandwiches and drove to where I was staying the chicken patties were rock solid. The fries were all limp and were super greasy in the bad sense. And today I have had nothing but terrible stomach problems on Thanksgiving day.

Ever since they put in those self-service kiosks, workers ignore the front window. Quite a few people hate those kiosks and don’t use them. It takes longer to do a transaction at the kiosks having to repeat confirmations and the upselling and they don’t take cash!
The people have been nice when they arrive, but they need to fix this even if we have to pay more.

Pulled into the store at about 615. Didn’t get out of the drive through until nearly 7. They took forever to take my order at the speaker, two cars got ahead of me in that time. When I finially got up to the window, they had no idea what my order was. Had to tell them things one at a time so they could get my order together. Looks like they are serving off orders ahead of time to get times down and then forgetting what people have. No apology or anything. I’m really patient and never leave bad reviews when places are just busy or overwhelmed, but this is next level bad customer service.
