We were traveling from North Carolina to our home in Western Illinois. We pulled over in Metropolis to find a McDonald’s with a PlayPlace! That’s a winner when you have 4 small children! The service was very quick. The kids enjoyed the play area.

So all of us customers know that you can place an order for any McDonald’s anywhere across the state or country especially for family members that might be broke and on the road or just to order DoorDash for someone. Was spoken to like I was a child because the order came through on my mom’s end saying that I picked it up and to enjoy and then I was looked at like I was stupid when I was explaining that this has been done last week the week before a week before that and so forth. Very bad vibe from the manager just because I was a man and she had to do that to me in front of people. So as soon as I walk outside and get in my van low and behold my order is ready to pick up again so I had my mom change it to pick up inside. It wasn’t being prepared who just then when it said ready because as soon as I walked in the doors I heard my moms name from the counter. Highly disappointed with the disposition. I understand that there are flukes with the systems especially with computers but please refrain from explaining things to me like I’m a simpleton or a moron. Food was good not sure I’ll be back though whether I’m paying in person or not which sucks because I come down here quite frequently for deliveries.

I feel like cleanliness is a problem with a few employees and the store. I was there over an hour and not the first thing wiped down. Here are a few pictures to help better share my experience. These are of the drink machine and floor, tables in the lobby, men’s bathroom, and play place bathroom. Also when the guy was taking my order another guy kept interrupting with weird noises and laughing. Last thing have long hair I don’t care but please quit whipping it back and fourth carrying my food.

It was an awful experience they lost my order and had me pull ahead to the 1 st waiting spot then they never brought out my order. So I went inside and told them I did not get my order, so they said they had to remake my order. When I finally got my order there was not even an apology.

Absolutely terrible experience. Staff received our order and then refused to make it and were very rude about it instead of fixing the situation. Will never return to this location again. Get better management

As most of you know, I start out fastfood restaurant reviews at 4 stars, then increase or decrease it accordingly. I really really wanted to give this one 5 stars and would have up until 3 days ago. My experiences there since then have convinced me to drop it down a star.
I am tent camping at nearby Fort Massac State Park and usually start my mornings with coffee and perhaps a breakfast sandwich at this McDonald’s. Three mornings ago I suffered through the continuous shrieking of the manager. I couldn’t see who it was because most of her shrieks were aimed at the employees in the back. She had no problem humiliating them in public, including Ethan, whom I would rate 5 stars if Google Maps allowed it.
Today ( Sunday, August 21) was a stunner. I didn’t get here until lunch and ordered a quarter pounder with cheese meal. The first two pictures show what I got: a piece of cold, dry meat and NO cheese, onions, or pickles! The meat was so dry that a triangular portion actually fell off the bun. The 3rd picture shows what I finally got after I complained.
I do want to recognize the employees who impress me. The aforementioned Ethan, Tara, and Crystal are always helpful and friendly. The owner Mike is pleasant and a real leader, unlike the Shrieking Manager.
Finally, if the quarter pounder mess was deliberate, you can stop. I’m a paying customer, clean, quiet, and respectful. I may be living in a tent right now, but I am very deliberate where I spend my time and money.

I have been here multiple times in the last couple months, (unfortunately) because this place is close to my work, and let me tell you, without exaggerating, 9 out of 10 times my order was either messed up, cold, or obviously old and shouldn’t have been served. The wait times are ridiculous when pulled forward, and even after waiting 10 minutes for a 5 minute cook time order, the fries are barely lukewarm. It’s unacceptable. I’ve worked at McDonald’s years ago, and I understand what goes on in that kitchen, and it definitely is being done incorrectly at this store. Absolutely terrible. Picture is from today, as proof I’m not exaggerating.

I ordered a Mocha Frappe from them today. After waiting 30 minutes, they told me their machine was down. The female cashier working there is minimally friendly. Can’t think of a better restaurant than this. Including driving time, I spent 41 minutes and got nothing. They didn’t even apologize.

Dirty lobby not busy workers standing around running in and out did mobile order food was cold went back in 9 min wait on fresh fries so yes not very satisfied maybe management should tighten down because this store has been pretty bad for awhile
