Ordered the Big Arch at the drive-through to see what all the whoopla is about. It’s a big messy burger. Flavor a little one note. Added salt and pepper. Not enough raw onion. Ate it all and needed all three napkins they gave me. At $9.97 with tax, I won’t order again. The good old Mcdouble is still my favorite. Exterior of building needs a spruce up. Decent location.

Stopped going to this location because I have had a bad interaction with a female manager on multiple occasions for instance items are missing or in bag messy, I would go back and tell them. The manager would start snapping off about irrelevant things. Terrible person that was put in charge, don’t understand your your the manager but has the WORST communication skills, especially when under pressure.

Losing Faith in the Chain

This particular McDonald’s location suffers from significant inconsistencies in both service and quality control, primarily tied to the shift differential.

On several occasions, this location has been closed early regardless of its listed business hours by at least 1-2hours. This issue is compounded when using the mobile app. We’ve placed mobile orders, only to pull up to the drive-thru and be told they are closed, even after explaining the order was already sent through. This lack of reliability and failure to disable mobile ordering when closed is highly frustrating.

The quality control for the late afternoon to evening shift is seriously lacking. Recently, my order included a Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese add Bacon. Not only did the bacon I paid for not make it onto the sandwich, but the patties themselves were burnt black. All I could taste was the dirty, scorched grill.
Portion Control: I ordered two 10-piece nuggets for my kids, and one container had 8 pieces while the other had 9.
Excessive Condiments: I’ve previously had a McChicken absolutely smothered in mayo, like they were icing a cake, making it almost inedible.

There is a huge difference in the overall quality of service between their morning crew and the late afternoon to evening crew. The evening staff are often noticeably unfriendly and project an attitude of not wanting to serve customers. This contrasts sharply with the morning staff, who are generally much more pleasant and food quality is better.

Between the early closures, the chronic order mistakes, and the poor food quality during the later shift, I am starting to lose faith in this chain altogether. This is another location that needs a serious operational overhaul.

I was in town on business and went there (drive through) on two successive mornings. Both times I was asked to pull forward and wait for my order. Each time I had an extended wait, and when my order was finally brought to me, it was completely wrong. I am sure workers are trying their best, but at some point management needs to a better job of setting every employee up for success. That being said, this situation is sadly a microcosm of St. Cloud’s gradual decline in all facets of life.

Sat in drive thru order pickup for 20min. Order was missing a burger. Also, this is how my food was handed to me, with all the fries in the bag upside down! For a person going to drive thru for convenience, this is NOT so convenient.

I am writing this as I am waiting. Admittedly, the drive-thru was busy so I went in the curbside pickup space to get my order brought out to me. I wasn’t expecting it to take over 20 minutes, so I had my sister go inside to ask for the order. She said it looked like the manager was clearing orders on the screen, then placing physical tickets on the screen instead, we thought to make it look like orders were being completed faster than they actually were or something. We ended up going in the drive-thru because we had already been waiting too long for what was ordered. When we got to the window the employees seemed to have no idea our order even existed, I explained we ordered on the app and had been waiting over 30 minutes in the curbside pickup space and decided to just go on the drive-thru at that point.We finally got the large mocha frappe after 50 minutes. I ended up driving to Great Oak Drive McDonald’s to get a large fry and apple pie right after. I told them my order at the speaker, went to the window for my receipt, then the next window for my food, and left within 2 minutes.

Food was hot and fresh!! Service was great! I like the new look seemed freshly remodeled. Only thing that I would have to say now that Covid is over by any chance, will you guys be putting a small play places back in because my daughter is four and is all about and I quote “ Old Mc.Donald’s “ when we go on adventures. Our nearest OMD is in bemidji and the lakefront managed to keep a small portion of there play area and she barely eats because she meets new friends every time and only downfall is telling her it’s time to go!! So thank you!!! All the staff that bust there butts to stay on point with food temps/ticket times cleanliness customers service great job!!

I went to pick up an order. They told me they were deep cleaning the machine, so they were unable to make me an iced mocha. He asked if I wanted a refund or an iced coffee instead. I said an iced coffee. And I waited for who knows how long. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because they were busy or something, but I saw others receiving orders. Who came in 10 mins of me waiting and I just ended up leaving.

Used the drive thru, took a long time to answer. When got to the food window the girl at the window just opened the window and handed me a drink then closed window, opened window handed me another drink closed the window, then sat for a good 2-3 minutes and then handed me bag of food. Never once said a word.
