The food itself was good, and they got my order mostly correct (forgot some nuggets, fries)… but to be expected with McDonalds. What was absolutely ridiculous was the nearly 30 minutes I had to wait in line to be able to order. I had chosen the inner lane (first mistake) so I could not make my escape after the lines failed to move 20 minutes in. With nobody between me and the window I figured it would be quick but waited another 5 minutes at the order speaker for someone to pickup. It seemed like they were doing one car at a time, taking their order, having them pay then giving them their food, THEN taking the next person’s order. The lady at the window was friendly but said they only had 6 people there… Which should be more than enough but there was a few of them wandering staring at the ceiling… I don’t know whether its the dumb customers willing to wait in line 30 minutes, or the employees who need some leadership. I live in the area and never come here because it has a reputation in the community for being slow & *special but figured I would give it one last shot. Never again! I would not recommend it. Culver’s is much better food, faster and around the same price, right across the street. It very sad because they are in a convenient location.

Been with this McDonald’s for months and only have issues with service when they lose workers. If I was management I’d be training these kids to be g.o.a.t workers for their 8 hour shift but hey that’s life I guess. Food always good and on time. Management YouTube how to make these kids g.o.a.t workers and build some culture maybe. Thanks for my filet o fish and milk.

Ordered ahead on the app. Wait time to get from the speaker to the first window was 10 minutes. That cashier was friendly. Then I pulled up to the food window to be greeted with,”I’m going to need you to pull up to #1.” No greeting, didn’t even offer our drinks while we waited. After waiting in the waiting spot for 10 minutes the person that told me I needed to pull up asked if I got my food and handed me a lemonade we ordered. I told her no, you asked me to pull up and she spun around and headed back in. No apology for the wait. Five minutes later a really pleasant lady with red hair came out with our food and apologized. I decided to check and see if we got everything before I drove off and they mistakenly gave us Big Macs instead of Nuggets. I went back in the store to get out straightened out and then after I pulled away I realized they also forgot to give me our medium Coke. Total time elapsed 35 minutes. This was after 3 pm on a Thursday, I’d hate to see it at dinner time if the wait and speed took so long. Our nuggets and fries were also cold. I’ve given this location several chances and this was the last straw. I’ll drive out of the way to the Baker Road location and probably get back to Chelsea quicker than going through the Chelsea drive thru and using the mobile app too.

I have a severe fish allergy. I had always felt safe at this location to eat the chicken nugget’s or mcchicken because they assure me they have not been fried with the fish. Tonight, I end up have a severe allergic reaction the chicken nuggets to which I almost ended up in the hostpital. Please be careful here if you have allergies.

This location provided the worst McDonald’s experience I’ve had in years, possibly ever. Go across the street to another fast food option.

My whole family was excited about the new Changeables toys advertised to come out on January 27th. The staff was uninformed or straight up rude when asked about the what alternate toy options were available. This location had the Changeables available to order on the app instead of the more generic toy option when they are using older toys.

Worst service that I’ve ever experienced at a McDonald’s. Ordered an iced mocha and paid at the kiosk. Waited 15 minutes to receive it. Several other customers experienced the same wait. At one point, another customer said to me, “Do you think they have forgotten us?” This Chelsea MI location on M-52 needs to figure out how to balance service levels to both the dine-in and drive-thru customers. However, I won’t ever be back.

I know I’m part of this problem (because this is the most convenient McD’s to us) but GOOD LORD, why does it take so long to get our food here? I’m currently sitting in the drive through and actually decided to time it.
It’s 3:45 pm a Wednesday and I’ve been in this line for 27 minutes and I’m not at the first window yet! I should’ve bailed but I ordered ahead and already paid for it. Next time, I can go to the McD’s’ on Baker Rd and probably be back home quicker than this location that is 2 miles from our house.
Please do better for my Happy Meal loving kids!

Ordered a large meal. The store was busy so i expected to wait. But i thought i would be waiting for fresh food since they were so busy, or at least a full fry. This is absolutely ridiculous after how long i waited. I constantly have problems with this store. Don’t believe i’ll be back.

Ordered a meal deal with a Coke. They asked if there was anything else and side yes, two medium fries. When they gave me a bad with a with chicken strips and two fries, I explained the coke and fries were missing, Caden said “you ordered chicken strips with two medium fries”. I explained that ordered a chicken strip meal and an additional two fries. That’s why you asked me “what do want to drink with the chicken strip meal. Rather than just give me the Coke and fries, CADEN said “well that’s not what you paid for so you’ll have drive around the drive through again to order and pay for the additional items”. I’m 55 years old and he accused me of trying to get over on Macdonalds for a fry and a Coke. The kicker was I actually paid MORE than it would’ve cost for the meal deal with two extra fries. CADEN is going to work there for the next 40 years so get used to it.

There are some really sweet people that work here, but they are SO slow! It’s crazy. Line or no line, it takes forever. They need new management to fix the problem. If you order a Diet Coke and are second in line — plan to wait ATLEAST 15-20. I’m not exaggerating
