Shout out to Popeye’s for giving me extra silverware one time, which came in clutch today! And to McDonald’s, for encouraging bold, exciting flavor combinations! (I assume the ketchup was for my pancakes, since there was no butter or syrup provided?)

Seriously, though—it’s hard working at McDonald’s, or any restaurant. Little things like silverware, butter, and syrup are easily missed when breakfast is almost over, the line is long, and workers are racing the clock so corporate and customers don’t give them grief. Managers juggle orders, complaints, and staffing crises, while crew members just try to survive the day.

That’s why I take responsibility also. I should’ve checked my bag and asked politely for silverware and syrup. I know the staff here would have happily fixed it. The food itself was good—and maybe skipping syrup and butter saved me a few calories! Admittedly, it was a bit disappointing without condiments. I wish I felt more confident speaking up, even over small things.

So here’s my advice: check your bag. Smile, make eye contact, say thank you, and wish them a nice day. Or, if you want to brighten things up, try “que tengas un buen día” (keh TEN-gahs oon bwen DEE-ah, for my fellow monolingual English speakers). Let’s just be better humans to each other where we can.

The absolute worst McDonald’s I’ve ever been in every mirror every glass door, even the kiosk where you order your food, covered in fingerprints and disgusting in the bathroom. There was not even a sign that said all employees must wash their hands!!!!

We had our food brought to our table. We had a number and when we asked the guy about our drinks he said you can get them yourself. We didn’t want to reach to the side or behind the counter and grab our own cups, but I guess that’s how things are run.
It was filthy.
Sticky.
Everyone except for one Hispanic guy was rude or ignored us, we just wanted sauce lol
I’m grateful the he acknowledged us. But by the time we got back to our table, our food was cold. And listen, I understand when you’re inside you pour your own drink drinks but since when do you just grab your own cups from the side of the cash register?

Also, that bathroom smelled like a cootie queen lint licker!!!!

I don’t know if it’s a personel issue or an equipment issue. But when a customer a large black coffee. One would think that’s one of the simplest items to prepare. Instead I got a large black cold coffee that had another drink spilled on the lid of my order. Does the same person own both McDonald’s in this town? Because there is nothing but issues at both locations.

Absolute rudest customer service I’ve ever experienced at a McDonald’s!!
Myself and the vehicle behind left out of the drive thru after the disrespect from the speaker jockey.
They said ,”yeah”. I asked if I could have a minute. They respond with, “go ahead”. I repeat “can I have a minute?”. He comes back with “place your order” so assuming they didn’t hear me the first 2 loudly spoken times, I said loudly enough for all vehicles around me to hear “CAN I HAVE A MINUTE PLEASE?”.
No response, just switched to the o the speaker, ignoring me for 5 vehicles after I stated I was ready to order 3 times. Myself and the vehicle behind me left the drive thru and they immediately ask the following vehicle for their order.

I often order quarter pounders that have an extra slice of cheese and no mustard. Usually they make them fresh and they’re nice and warm and tasty. This McDonald’s the burger was stone, cold, so cold that it didn’t even melt any of the cheese. How is it possible to screw these things up when everything is time to precisely to the second? It looks like management has given up as the staff isn’t particularly involved, and there was a lot of filth around. Even the tray stacked above the garbage had all sorts of crap on them and had been there clearly for quite a while. Thumbs down Shelbyville McD’s. I use the kiosk to order, but even when they brought it over, they forgot the soda and we’re fairly rude so even the service gets a bad ranking despite the use of the kiosk.

Its fast food not fine dinning. Waited in drive thru speaker for 10 min just for the person that got there after me to be serviced first. Dont wast your time at this one there are 2 others in town that work ñike they desrve mpre than minimum wage.

I think its McDonald’s personal mission to get orders wrong… doesn’t matter the location 6/10 times something will be wrong no matter how clear and simple the order is. Today I ordered 2 sausage biscuits, spoke very clearly and couldn’t have told them what I wanted any better… the person who took my ordered did fine but the food they gave me was 2 mcgriddles… I still ate the food but how does “mcgriddle” sound like “biscuit”…. it doesn’t. This locations better than most in shelbyville but unfortunately its a McDonald’s so it has its hiccups.
