McDonald’s Drive-Thru Experience – Disappointing Sunday Visit

I usually visit this McDonald’s location several times a week, as I live just a short walk away (about 950 feet). My experiences are typically fine, but I’ve consistently noticed issues during Sunday afternoons and evenings, and today was unfortunately no exception.

Today, I went through the drive-thru and ordered the $5 meal for my autistic son, as it’s one of his preferred meals. After receiving the order, I checked the bag and noticed that the buffalo sauce packet was already ripped open. Concerned about food safety and cleanliness—especially given my son’s specific dietary needs—I turned around and went inside to speak with a manager.

At the counter, I was initially met with resistance from a female employee. Unfortunately, name badges are never worn at this location, so I wasn’t able to identify her. After insisting on speaking with a lead or manager, a male employee approached and identified himself as the manager.

I explained the situation, but his response felt dismissive. He told me he had placed the sauce in the bag himself and hadn’t noticed anything wrong with it. When I asked how he missed that the packet was visibly ripped open, he simply repeated the same explanation without offering any resolution or apology.

Disappointed by the lack of accountability and customer service, I left without the issue being resolved. As a regular customer, I expect better care and attention—especially when it comes to the safety and quality of food being served.

I hope this feedback is taken seriously and leads to improved service and communication, particularly during Sunday shifts. This location has potential, but consistency and customer care need to be addressed.

I do love this McDonald’s and have been coming here over 20yrs probably, BUT DO NOT LEAVE UNTIL YOU MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL OF YOUR FOOD they will forget and will most certainly forget apples in your happy meal EVERY.SINGLE.TIME without fail idk they don’t like apples. So yea just assume your order is missing something everytime and you’ll be fine! Also everyone usually has an attitude, but I get it they’re working at McDonald’s so it’s fine I guess.

Honestly my standards are never high for fast food restaurants but my husband and I were served EXPIRED food a few nights ago. We both ordered chicken items which were questionable and tasted old. LITTLE DID I KNOW, I’d be biting into an apple pie 10 minutes later that had sat out for more than 8 hours before I *regrettably* purchased. I ordered them at 7:36PM and the “enjoy by” says 11:24AM. The pie filling literally stuck to my teeth after breaking through the rock hard crust. I wish I had seen the “Enjoy by” label prior to “enjoying”. Seriously?! I cannot believe those apple pies sat all day long and not a single employee noticed or cared to discard them. I worked fast food for years. I get it, stuff happens. But this is inexcusable. I’m glad I didn’t break a tooth. Get it together Outerloop McDonalds.

I ordered hot cakes and a hashbrown. Along with that I ordered a meal that included a hasbrown. Both hashbrowns were left out. And the hotcakes only had 2. Not 3 like it’s supposed to. So basically half my food wasn’t even in the bag. I can understand maybe forgetting hashbrowns but you can’t even remember to put in a 3rd hotcake when they ALWAYS come with 3! Absolutely Ridiculous. Im tired of paying for shit I don’t even get. I shouldn’t have to turn around and go back inside or go through the line again everytime to fix their mistakes.

My problem isn’t unique to this McDonalds, and not to McDonalds alone. You use the ordering queue to enter your order. You enter a number for a flag on your table s they can bring your food. Then you wait and wait and wait, and you get your food at the same time you get the up for your drink. Someone needs to monitor the front. Why say you will deliver food to the table when they are waiting at the register to get a drink before they sit down?

Asked for no bun got bun. Asked for sauces got no sauced. Ordered bottle water didn’t have any so they subbed for medium water cup. Why not large? You pay over $2 for the bottle

This location will find a way to screw up every single thing you order. Will literally never give you the sauce you ordered with your nuggets. You always have to ask a second time to receive your actual order.
