Half empty box of fries and a cold burnt burger… Don’t use the drive through.. this is the worst McDonald’s I’ve ever been to. This place needs new management asap!

Placed a mobile order and even waited ten to minutes to give them time to fix it since I don’t live far. I get there to the order screen and sat for a while no one came on the intercom. So I drove around to the first window didn’t see anyone. Then I pulled up to the second window I finally see the manager WITH THE HEADSET ON leaning on the counter so I waited because I’m clearly right there. No response so I had to knock on the window to even get some assistance and even then had to wait for my order. Only to be told I can’t get the milkshake I paid for because they don’t do them after a certain time in which that’s understandable and I didn’t press that issue. The rest of my food I wouldn’t even feed a DOG. Has to be the WORST location in Oxford. They will constantly give you old food no matter if it’s a mobile order or you are there in person and asked for it to be fresh. Fries will just be redipped just to say they are hot. This is a constant issue no matter what time of day you go. The owners need to close this location down for good and never reopen.

We continue to come here because, well, it’s McDonald’s and I have small children. But, it’s agony every time. The costumer service is such a shame. They will not acknowledge you at the counter. Once you finally get someone’s attention they will not make eye contact and act like you are imposing on their own personal time. If you order dine in on the app, they will not deliver it to your table. I have witnessed them talking rudely or even yelling at costumers on multiple occasions. All of these things are consistently true with my experience here.

This is the SECOND time I’ve had to drive away from this establishment without any food in the past month. January 20th – my elderly grandmother wanted McDonald’s, pulled into the drive thru, I placed my order, was told to “hold on”; another lady came over the intercom and asked for my order again, I provided order, again, was told to “hold on”, again, to which I did.. after waiting and watching SIX other vehicles go through the second line beside us. Lady comes back over the intercom and asks for my order AGAIN, to which I tell her to forget it – it was not a complicated order, not a large order, I actually never even got to finish providing the attendant with my order.. February 21st – just now, my husband and I pulled into the drive thru, no other vehicles were in the drive thru at this time; lady comes over intercom, asks “Will you be using the mobile app?” We replied “no” she told us to go ahead with our order; we provided our order and then silence.. for 4 minutes. During this time a car had pulled into the second lane beside us, we watched them put in their order and proceed around. A lady came back on the intercom and asks, “Will you be using your mobile app today?” I say “no” and proceed with my order.. and nothing. After 2 minutes, I said “hello?” no reply. I said “ma’am, did you get our order?” and again, nothing. Therefore, we drove off. I guess they don’t want my business? Not sure, but to have this happen twice in a month? Come on. Funny that Betsy Smith is the owner of both this McDonald’s and the McDonald’s on Jackson Avenue and the service between the two is night and day. The workers at this location are rude and, apparently, incompetent. They do not care about the customer; could care less about how many people drive off, irritated, and without any service from this establishment. This isn’t anything new. This location has always been horrid; I don’t know why I even attempted to give them the benefit of doubt and stop there. Betsy Smith, you are the owner of this franchise. It’s evident you could care less about the customers you lose at this location. What a shame. It’s been this way for YEARS and you’ve been the owner for YEARS. Sad to say, I doubt it will ever change.

Ordered via the mobile app. It took me sitting in line brake 30 min to just reach the kiosk. The line didn’t move at all for that time. It wasn’t that crowded. The workers are truly the trashiest and slowest people ever. They threaten you if you press them on the timeliness of their service. It was a late night food run but it was truly ridiculous that it took me nearly an hour for a simple Big Mac meal. Absolutely worthless employees.

Might be the laziest, unmotivated, and slow group of employees on planet earth. Customers service is truly unbelievable. No words can even truly describe how poorly run this McDonald’s is.

I stopped by the drive-thru tonight just wanting a quick meal, but the experience was really disappointing from start to finish. The line wasn’t even that long, yet it moved incredibly slow — I ended up waiting about 30 minutes. When I finally got to the window, I found out they were out of the sauce I always get, didn’t have the seasonal boo bucket, and when I asked about the Monopoly promotion, I was told, “we don’t do that.” After waiting that long, not getting what I ordered, and realizing they didn’t even give me a straw for my drink, I left pretty frustrated. It’s confusing and disappointing to see the store promoting these things everywhere (literally signs everywhere outside the store and on the screens) but not actually offering them. Those small, fun details are part of what makes the customer experience enjoyable, and it feels like no one there cared to make it right or even apologize. I don’t expect perfection, but I do expect some consistency and honesty in what’s being advertised. This visit really missed the mark, and it made what should’ve been a simple, easy meal feel like a waste of my time and that my business was unwanted.

Extremely rude staff. Long wait times to get any food, and even when you do get food they can’t fill orders correctly. Anytime we get something from here it is incorrect. Staff won’t fix it either if you bring it to their attention. This was the large fry we ordered— it came out not even half full. I understand it’s a college town and hard to get people to work at fast food restaurants, but there has to be some more competent people than the ones that already work here. I don’t understand what is difficult about CORRECTLY filling orders in a TIMELY manner.

I ordered curbside pickup from this McDonald’s on 8/31 at 10:35 PM and it was one of the worst fast-food experiences I’ve ever had. After waiting 15–20 minutes with no food, I tried calling the store several times; no one answered. The drive-thru was wrapped around the building and not moving, the lobby was closed, so I finally gave up and left after waiting a total of 40-45 minutes.

I contacted corporate, who told me they’d submit a complaint and request a refund. I never heard a word back. After a week, I called the store again and finally spoke with a lady (name started with “S”) who was incredibly kind and apologetic. She told me to come back to get a refund. Honestly, it’s ridiculous to ask a customer to spend more time and gas to fix a mistake that was entirely theirs… but she was kind, so I agreed.

When I came back, the morning manager I dealt with was the complete opposite: not apologetic, unhelpful, and treated me like I was trying to scam them. It took me 15–20 minutes of back-and-forth just to get my money back, and they still didn’t refund the full amount. The entire ordeal cost me more time and money than the $14 refund was worth.

Instead of making things right, they made me feel like a criminal for daring to expect a straightforward refund when they failed to deliver. This is exactly why I don’t eat at McDonald’s anymore, and this experience just cemented it.

This has to be one of the dirtiest McDonald’s I’ve been to. It’s kiosk order only, so there is no employee presence. Then I see an elderly old lady taking orders to cars waiting. All these young people in here and they send her out there. This place can be amazing but is so subpar. Do better!!
