McDonald’s restaurants aren’t always known for glowing reviews, and if you’ve ever walked a bag of food back inside from a drive through screw-up, you know exactly what I’m talking about. Between the fries, burgers, and nuggets, hold the cheese, add mayo, where’s the napkins and I need two more straws, a lot can go wrong. Bless their hearts- it’s a tough gig. The McDonalds on Gulf Shores Parkway deserves a pat on the back for jobs well done. We’ve had several drive though meals there while on vacation, and everything was AOK. The staff were polite and the food was classic McDonald’s fast food. Sometimes that’s exactly what you want- Mickey D cheeseburger, add extra onion, fries, Diet Coke, and a… hold on. Add a Chips Ahoy! Frappe!!! So this particular frappe is a limited time drink, not available at all McDonald’s, and some restaurants with the poster plastered on the window still don’t have it. This frappe won’t be around forever. But it sure was available when we went by the Gulf Shores Pkwy location, more than once, and it was clearly made with love! Starting with a mocha frappe base, they’ve added chocolate chip cookie-flavored syrup, whipped cream, and crushed Chips Ahoy! cookie pieces. It truly does taste like the cookies. Amazing! Best frappe evah! Stop by the Gulf Shores Parkway McDonald’s. Then head on down to the beach…

A friend recommended the milkshakes here and said she really enjoyed them, so I decided to stop by and try one for myself. I’m glad I did! The milkshake was really good — rich and flavorful. I enjoyed it just as much and will definitely be coming back for another one.

Literally so sick of coming here and leaving disappointed…the only reason I come back is bc it’s convenient but I’ve decided to opt in for BK from here on out. I paid extra money for Mac sauce and they forgot it, they also didn’t put our fries in the bag. We had to wait at the window for like 7 mins; there a were people the other day that literally left bc they were tired of waiting. This place lacks mgmt, the wait is always ridiculous and the managers are 2 old ladies, a white lady and black lady, the white lady is atleast friendly she’s just so slow. The black lady is so rude, I’ve heard her curse at her employees while customers were at the counter. Literally so ridiculous. McDonald’s, DO BETTER.

McDonalds do better!
This is the slowest McDonalds we’ve ever been to. It about 10 minutes to get to get to be able to place the order in the drive through. We ordered two apple pies and a Dr Pepper. It took another 10 minutes to get to the first window where they informed us that there weren’t two apple pies so we changed the order to one apple and one strawberry. After another 5 minutes we got to the 2nd window where they told us it would be another 5 minutes for the apple pie. We got a refund and won’t be back soon.

I placed a mobile order and sat at the drive thru for about 7 minutes, no one acknowledged or responded to me. I pulled up to the window hoping maybe someone would acknowledge me. Someone inside looked at me but did not come up to me. I then tried calling the mcdonald’s for atleast a refund on my mobile order and no one answered.

Put in a breakfast order just before breakfast ended. The line moved along slowly so that when we got to the window it was 10:30 and they said they wouldn’t process our order that was already in and paid for. We then went inside to be told the hash browns we could see sitting on the counter we’re going to be thrown in the trash. Great policy. Were experiencing a food shortage? Sure. Now the owner would like me to spend more time on this and leave feedback at mcdonalds.com as if they aren’t aware of the problem.

The food was hot, fresh, and good.
This McDonald’s was PACKED and busy. When I got inside there were at at least 6 people ahead of me plus a full drive through. Even with placing a mobile order ahead of time, letting them know I was there, it took about 30 mins to get my order.
Not sure if they were short staffed, the people I saw behind the counter were running around working hard it seemed.

Only reason I’m putting a one star is cause you have to to write a review. The lady acts like the sauce comes out of her paycheck for one EVEN WHEN YOU TRY TO PAY FOR THEM SHE WONT GIVE THEM TO YOU AFTER SPENDING 50$ AND THEY GIVE YOU 2 SAUCES FOR 40 CHICKEN NUGGETS for two She always has an attitude, no matter how nice you are to her. She obviously does not like her job and needs to find another one. Customer service obviously isn’t for her.

They knew it was almost closing time so the boy on the speaker decided to act like he was an automated voice.
The girl at the window counted my money wrong and had to give me back a dollar after asking for another saying I didn’t give her enough.
After all that the food was a mess, my two chicken sandwiches couldn’t have been any different. One had three times more mayo than the other and both had mayo all over the outside of the buns.
Horrible service and attitudes!
