Hot and fresh food. Clean facility. Friendly staff. Had to use the kiosk to place an order, that’s not my personal preference but it worked. Only stopped here while traveling to have a quick breakfast. This McDonald’s was very quiet and peaceful.

Correction: it was Monday night the 29th. And no thank you McDonald’s, too late to resolve anything unless you have a time capsule.
Went at 9:00pm on a Sunday night, ordered a hot fudge sundae and strawberry shake at the kiosk. (Nobody working the register which was fine, it wasn’t busy) Waited twenty minutes and ended up having to ask someone about it before they made it. No “oops, my bad” or anything. Stoic, unhappy service and I did watch the people in the back move as if they had no place to be and no time to get there. I watched every single glee patron there walk up at some point and ask for their food, you’d think after the 3rd (or even first) customer ca,e looking for their “fast” food, they would have stopped to wonder why they didn’t have their order. Was their kiosk not talking to the system in the back? Did they not wonder why people were sitting in the restaurant with no food and none being prepared? The only reason we even waited so long was because we were meeting somebody who wasn’t there yet. For what seems to be a new McDonald’s in a pricey area, you’d think they would want to have good service. Nope! When my son and friend arrived hungry, I said HARD PASS, and went down the road for something else. Oh to boot, no hot fudge on my sundae.

Very clean, well run McDonald’s. This is the first McDonald’s I’ve seen where the order kiosks accept cash. It was Sunday morning early so there were not a lot of customers in here and this service was lightning fast. Their internet service works well too. The access is a bit convoluted cuz it’s back in the corner of a strip mall parking lot. A lot of one-way turns other than that, this was a real quick easy visit to McDonald’s.

I don’t like giving bad reviews. I’m more of a “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all” kind of person. I usually just post a great review when I encounter a great experience- positive reinforcement. But, this McDonalds may benefit from some constructive feedback. This location opened within the last couple of years and I’ve been here a few times – with mixed results. If I’m lucky, I have a relatively uneventful experience. Unfortunately, more often than not, it is a stressful, frustrating, and disappointing experience. I mean it’s McDonalds. I thought they had all this down to a science. Call me old school, but I remember a day when customer service was a real thing. When you would walk up to the counter and someone would greet you with a smile and ask you for your order. Or if you drove up to a drive-through someone would address you and be attentive rather than clearly doing multiple things all at the same time and asking you to repeat yourself while they ignored you. For my visit this evening on Sunday, December 28, 2025, we tried to place an order at the drive-through. The person was clearly over-tasked and overwhelmed, and could not pay attention long enough to take our order without several attempts. We drove up to the window and waited several minutes before someone came to take our money. Perhaps that should’ve been a sign just to drive away. Once the McDonald’s employee came to the window, they ignored us while taking another order and shoved an electronic pay device out towards us as if we should pay. Only problem was that our order wasn’t on the device and we couldn’t pay so we just sat there waiting for her to finish taking someone else’s order. Finally, she gave her attention to us long enough to take our payment without ever greeting us or treating us with any customer awareness. When I asked her how she was doing, she took the time to complain to me that she’s understaffed and overwhelmed and I told her we’re sorry to hear that. Once we paid, we pulled up to the next window and waited for our food, for a long time. Finally, a young man came and gave us our two drinks and eventually told us to pull up to the next window. We finally got our food at the next window. As his customary at this location, there was nothing fast about this fast food experience. Worse yet, once we pulled away we realized we did not get the right order. So we pulled back around and I went inside to try to get the correct order. Unfortunately, no one was at the cash register in the front and there was already a line of people at the pick up window waiting. I went and leaned over the counter and tried to get the attention of several people with an “excuse me” They brushed me off and continued ignoring me for several minutes. Another patron was sitting and watching and said “good luck” and then explained how he waited 20 minutes before anyone came to the counter to give him any attention and take his order. I finally had to walk up closely enough while waving my arms and saying excuse me loudly enough until they were forced to give me their attention so that I could explain to them that all I wanted to do was get the correct order. One of them came over and snatched my bag of food from me and punched some buttons on the cash register and walked back hastily to the back without saying much. She then returned a few minutes later with a freshly made correct order and handed it to me without saying much. I guess this is just routine around here. As someone who values customer service, I felt compelled to put an apron and go back there and help them, it was that pathetic. I can’t even blame these poor employees who seem to be doing everything they could without proper training or management or adequate staffing. Nonetheless, it doesn’t take much to say “hi, welcome to McDonald’s”, “May I take your order?”, “How may I help you today?”, “Thanks for coming”. “I’ll be right with you”, “Let me make that right for you”. “Have a great night”.

Ordered on mobile pick up and nobody came out to bring out the pick up order. Checked the app and it said it was delivered.
Can’t even leave because I paid and I was not going home empty handed.
Waited in line both at the drive through and in the restaurant but the staff is very rude. I waved them to get attention but looked at me and walked away. I even yelled excuse me but no answer and was ignored again.
Other things to note:
-The drive through was ignored and so many customers were just either sitting there waiting for someone to answer. Some left mid line due to frustrations.
-There were about 5 door dashers waiting for their food for about 50mins. I waited mine for an hour.
Clearly this restaurant manager have poor management skills in training their staff for at least satisfactory customer service skills and resource management.

Order was correct and hot. The employees were all smiling and prompt. Clean inside. A small maze of a parking lot to get into. They do have 7 self serve kiosks. I’m not sure you’d ever need to wait to place an order inside. Thankfully there are employees that still worked a front register.

This brand new McDonald’s location is clearly designed with mobile/kiosk order and delivery apps in mind but unfortunately they seem to have missed the in-store experience in the planning. It’s WAY too small with lots of non-traditional seating arrangements and pretty uncomfortable seats. It’s very difficult to flag someone down to assist with things like getting ketchup or a drink refill. Parking already is a challenge here and I can’t even imagine what it will be like when everything in the area is fully opened. If you are doing drive-through you will get through quickly but try to avoid eating inside.

One of the best McDonald’s I’ve ever been to. It was very clean, positive atmosphere, and amazing staff. We had multiple crew members come up to us and check up on us and the food was hot and fresh.

A raw undercooked quarter pounder! I ate a couple bites not realizing and am praying I don’t get sick from it. To top it off the drive through window employees didn’t say but one thing to me; “can you move up to the next window?”… no price total, no hello, no goodbye or have a nice day. They handed me my food and walked off. I thought a newer McDonalds meant it would be nicer but nope.

How do you forget the chicken in a chicken sandwich? My son received two buns with pickles, really?!?! Long waits even when it’s empty, unprofessional staff openly playing around instead of working, and old, poorly prepared food. Zero accountability. Easily the worst McDonald’s around, go to the other Sand Lake locations.”
