For the first time in a long while, I’ve actually eaten McDonald’s. It’s usually just coffee and the occasional Egg McMuffin. I always use the McDonald’s app to pay for it. This afternoon, I got a push notification that my points were expiring. Today.

My burger was good. Fries were good. There was no cheese on my wife’s cheeseburger. Also, she ordered an ice cream with the mobile order, and they were out. They told us to go to the app for a refund or come back when a different manager was there. We told them the FAQ on the app said the restaurant had to process the refund. They continued to tell us to use the app or come back on another day.

Arriving into Beaufort late at night. Pull into the drive-through at 10:50 PM. Automated message asked if we were using the app and that someone would be with us in a minute. Waited 10 minutes, there were cars in the drive-through but myself and the cars behind us are sitting waiting. At 11 o’clock, a young person comes on and says that they’re closed. When I told him I had been sitting there for 10 minutes, he said that it was an automated message and they were closed. When I called the store to find out who owns this franchise, they said they did not know, and the manager in the background said to hang up.

So I don’t like to leave bad comments however the lousy service has been ongoing since COVID. You typically sit in the drive through for 15 minutes waiting to order. Yesterday 8/4/23 I sat in line for 40.minutes only to leave with 2 cars still waiting to order at drive thru. Sorry but this store is abysmel.

This place is the worst at consistency. Some days it’s fine…today, not so much. They open at 6am on Sundays. After placing a mobile order, then waiting in the drive thru to give them my order number I’m informed they’re not open yet at 6:26. She seemed genuinely confused that I could have placed the order if they weren’t open.

This has to be the worst McDonalds ever. The drive-through consistently takes 30-45 minutes to get through. Today we ordered through the app, hoping that would make it somewhat easier…..it did not. We ordered and went to the McDonalds location 15 minutes later just to wait in the store an ADDITIONAL 45 MINUTES for our food. The customer service is horrible, the employees do not care, and their timeliness is horrible.
