This place has gone so down hill it’s unreal. I went through here after work on 1/3/26. Waste of time and money. The burger was completely RAW, like still mooing type raw. My son’s chicken nugget, there was a whole frozen one in his box. Like if I didn’t check it before he tore into it he could have broke a damn tooth. If this place doesn’t hire actual like minded people instead of a whole friend chain, there will catch a lawsuit so quick. -100 stars if I could. I’d go get my money back if I knew I wasn’t going to be dealing with a bunch of children that arnt trained properly.

McDonald’s has one of the best vanilla shakes out there. That’s the good news. Unfortunately the bad news is the last four times I’ve been to several McDonald’s in the greater Summerville area they’ve been out of them. I thought I won the lottery when tonight I went to the North main Street Summerville McDonald’s which took my order at the drive-thru straight away. After paying over $5 for it I waited and waited at the pickup window. Finally someone came and told me to pull up, they would bring it to me. After 20 minutes and two trips in to check on my shake to no avail it was still not ready. I asked for my money back. They had to get the manager on duty which took more time. She was not apologetic at all. Leaving a very poor customer service experience.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. The sheer incompetence at this location is unbelievable. This is hands down the worst McDonald’s I’ve ever been to.
We sat in the drive-thru for 46 minutes and they never even took our order. The only reason we made it to the window is because we already had a mobile order. Employees were standing around on their phones instead of working! Not to mention, people with long nails and nose rings that can land in your food. That is a health violation!
Management is clearly nonexistent. No urgency, no accountability, no standards. This store needs new leadership, new staff, and a complete overhaul. Avoid this location unless you enjoy wasting nearly an hour of your life for absolutely nothing.

Ordered with the app while getting off work. Waited 20 minutes in the drive through to not get answered or greeted at the speaker, then when I got to the window they said “we closed. No more food.” I told them I ordered through the app 30 minutes ago and she said “I don’t know cancel it I guess and shut the window”

I just moved from Florida where all the McDonald’s suck. Being here, I have visited this McDonald’s on numerous occasions due to the fact that my food is always fresh. The employees are always nice and they Make my food in a timely fashion. Sure wish I would have checked the low reviews before I bothered to waste my time placing an order here? These are one of those locations that should just be shut down. McDonald’s should be ashamed that they have ZERO Customer Service & you stand at the counter for 5-10 minutes and are completely ignored by the kids who should mostly be fired. There is ZERO Fast Anything here? You can hear them talking gossip with each other instead of working? In fairness, there seems to be one mostly getting out orders?

Very unprofessional, night manager is rude. Multiple times we have had her be very disrespectful towards my husband. They are out of food that’s not listed on the app. So when we ordered and come to pick up. We are told “we ain’t got no cookies” and walks away. Ask about refund and told to go through app. Nothing on app shows refund. Manager says “its not my issue, you have to do it on app” even though we explain the app isn’t helping. This manager is very rude while night staff just sitting in the back on their phones and going to the gas station next door.

The food is… McDonald’s – it is what it is. But the drive thru is consistently the slowest I’ve ever encountered in any McDs, but especially compared to all the others around it. It’s been this way for YEARS, so whatever it is, it’s systemic. Or management. Idk why I keep trying, but every 6mos or so, I give it another shot cuz it’s the closest one to me. It’s literally faster to go to one further away from my house, plus wait in a line of 8+ cars than to wait for one or two cars ahead of me at this one. Today was 2 cars ahead and I’ve been waiting literally 17 minutes already. C’mon – this is MCDONALD’S, not a sit down. crazy.
