My son and I go through the drive thru of this location every Sunday. We’re almost always greeted by Gabriel- who is literally the nicest and most energetic employee I’ve ever met. With so much going on in the world and my life, it’s so so nice to have the brief moment of kindness. My order at this location has never been incorrect and the food has always been fresh. Best location I’ve been to in the Ballantyne/Indian Land area.

Usually when we come service is fine but tonight I guess they gave up. I did table service ordering and the first time the food came out maybe 10 min after ordering. Placed a to go order the same way and waited 30 min and it never came. Walked to the front and it was just sitting there…I know McDs isn’t a table service kinda place but don’t offer it in the app if employees arent willing to do it so lesson learned here is if you want your food hot, go through the drive thru I guess.

UPDATE!!!! STILL NO RESPONSE FROM THEIR INSURANCE CARRIER AND IT HAS BEEN 3 WEEKS!!!!! MY FOOD HAD TO BE TAMPERED WITH!!!! I GOT VIOLENTLY ILL!!!!This is the WORST!!! I was on that side of town and mobile ordered a BigMac meal and paid for extra sauce. When I went to pick up my order by drive thru on Feb 19th at 1:26pm. I asked if the extra sauce was on the burger as I paid extra for it. I was told if I paid it, then it was on it. I opened the box to verify and there was NOT extra sauce like I was told! So they gave me a side cup of it. I parked and ate my meal. Within 30 minutes I felt really full and uncomfortable. I preceded to drive home. As soon as I left my car I ran to the house as I felt like vomiting and then soft poop started and it continued for 2 days!!! I called McDonald’s customer line and gave them the details. I was told I would get a call back. NO ONE HAS CALLED ME BACK AND IT HAS BEEN 4 DAYS!!! I went to urgent care the next evening because I started feeling worse and had a low temp. I was severely dehydrated from pooping so much!!!! My stomach ached and churned for almost 3 days!! YET THIS MCDONALDS HAS YET TO RESPOND BACK!!!! CHECK THE CAMERAS!!! I THINK MY FOOD OR SAUCE WAS TAMPERED WITH!!!! I AM PISSED!!!! I WILL BE CONTACTING A LAWYER TOMORROW TO GET THE CAMERA FOOTAGE IF THEY DID TAMPER WITH MY FOOD!!!

Today I visited this McDonalds and ordered three apple pies and two large fries for my daughters and myself. The order was correctly read back to me at the first window and I also saw three apple pies on the screen with a total of around fourteen dollars.

When I arrived at the second window the employee repeated my order again confirming two large fries and three apple pies. Before leaving I decided to check my bag and I am glad I did. Only two pies were inside.

I politely let them know that one was missing. Instead of offering a simple apology or solution a woman in the back raised her voice and said we do not have any more apple pies. Then she added that she did not know what I wanted her to do. It was also suggested that I only ordered two even though I watched three appear on the screen and the employees repeated that order back to me twice. They then asked if I wanted to wait twelve minutes.

The frustrating part is that no one came to the window to explain anything or assist me. The employees walked away and ignored me. I was left sitting there feeling uncomfortable and disrespected especially over something so small that could have been handled very easily with communication and kindness.

A few minutes later I had to wave down another employee who walked by wearing a black shirt and I asked if he was the manager. He listened to me apologized and refunded me for the missing pie. I truly appreciate that he stepped in but the situation should not have had to reach that point in order for someone to show professionalism.

This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have had at any McDonalds. It is important that the staff receive proper training on how to treat customers and how to work as a team. A simple acknowledgment and a respectful explanation would have made all the difference.

Based on this experience I will not be returning to this location and I hope this review encourages improvement in communication and basic customer service for future guests.

McDs has given up even trying to be decent. Maybe this is the new Big Mac? Rea Rd in Charlotte… just don’t go and save the aggravation.

My little dude has been potty trained for over 3 months and I could tell by his voice he was panicking because he couldn’t figure out how to get out of the play place fast enough but I told the staff about it and they cleaned it up really quick and once they were done we went right back to playing. And service was great food came quickly to our table. The play place inside is quite large. Definitely a good place to stop and eat, with letting the kids run for a few.

I was driving through the drive thru and I ordered my food.But when it came out I got something totally different. I went inside and told them I ordered something else but then they just gave me one of those annoying looks and said be right back. It took him 10 min actually. Super annoying do NOT recommend

First off, I’m annoyed at the way I am always rushed through giving my order. Stop rushing me bc you end up getting it wrong, trying to be rude… Secondly, I had hair in my food today. Not just from one person but 2! One is a white strand and the other is a brownish blonde and I am totally disgusted. I ordered a sausage egg and cheese McMuffin. I want my money back.

Very disappointed with this McDonald’s location.
Employees consistently ignore children and do not pay attention to their requests. Drink refills are often refused, and sauces are not provided at all — not even offered to purchase — while in other McDonald’s restaurants this is never an issue.

It no longer feels like a family-friendly restaurant, but rather a place where customers are treated with indifference. Instead of creating a welcoming atmosphere, it leaves a negative impression and makes us not want to come back.

Hopefully, management will take this seriously and improve the service.
