Subject: Extremely Disappointing McCafé Coffee Experience – February 8, 2026

Dear McDonald’s Customer Service Team,
This morning, on February 8, 2026, I visited your McDonald’s location15806 Crain Hwy, Brandywine, MD 20613 and purchased a hot coffee with 2 Splenda and one cream.
Unfortunately, the coffee was completely undrinkable. It had virtually no coffee flavor or aroma whatsoever. It tasted and smelled like plain hot water with cream added — there was no trace of the coffee taste, body, or roasted character that one expects from a McCafé brewed coffee.
I was genuinely looking forward to my morning coffee, and this experience was very disappointing. It felt as though either the coffee was not brewed at all, the machine dispensed mostly hot water, the batch was severely over-diluted, or the equipment/coffee grounds had not been properly maintained.
I understand that occasional inconsistencies can happen, but this was far beyond a minor variation in strength — the drink literally did not taste like coffee in any way. I had to throw it away.
I would appreciate it if you could look into what may have gone wrong at that location that morning so that other customers do not have the same experience.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I have been a McDonald’s customer for many years and usually enjoy the convenience and quality of your McCafé drinks, which is why this was especially surprising and frustrating.

The food was fresh and satisfying. The cashier, apparently new, did not register my discount on a breakfast sandwich, but I did not notice it until I had paid. When I brought it to the attention of a supervisor, she offered me a free breakfast sandwich. Totally satisfied.

First, always ask for a freshly prepared filet-o-fish. You can’t go wrong with the taste and made how you want it. I also had freshly made McNuggets and Fries. The service was fast and friendly, and my order was accurate. Newly refurbished McDonald’s.

I placed an order via the app and upon arrival all employees and managers refused to either fulfill the order or cancel it because their kitchen was transitioned for breakfast. I even asked for a receipt to come back and get my order later in the day and they still refused. I was unable to cancel in the app and they refused to cancel on their end or provide a receipt to get a refund at a later time.

Pretty consistent service. It’s above average for what you’d expect from a fast food place.
I appreciate that they start breakfast at 4 AM which gives me a chance to grab food on the way to work occasionally.
Overall, you can expect good, consistent quality from this location.
It tends to get pretty packed at times which isn’t surprising considering its location next to a major road.

We waited in the Drive-Thru line four for few minutes they were too busy talking on the cell phone unfortunately she couldn’t understand me it took a minute to get my order and it still wasn’t correct and they were not friendly at all they forgot one of my hash browns

Update July 2022 : This McDonalds just got a new renovation. There no longer is a self serve drink station inside but you can still can get all-you-can drink you just have to go up to the counter. It looks great and the food is delivered to you table if you eat in. Clean and nice McDonalds with updated decor. The service was fast. This is one of the McDonalds I’ll sit down and eat in.

I don’t care for McDonald’s but my husband asked me to get him food. I ordered two McCrispy sandwiches and a double filet of fish for curbside to go. I was brought two chicken filets, no bread, no pickles, no sauce like is this a joke? I had to go inside and ask was it a joke…. Then wait for sandwiches. I do not understand. I hate having to go in anywhere when an order is not correct and it seems more often than not McDonalds cannot get it right…
