This place has the look and feel of a southern BBQ joint from the 80’s and that makes sense since the owners have been smoking meats for over 30 years. Nothing fussy but well laid out. It’s counter service which gives you a chance to get first hand recommendations from the owner Glenn and he made some great ones. My favorites were the 1/4 Dark smoked chicken (A perfect level of smoke and moisture) the pork ribs (great Smokey flavor with more of a smoke bracelet than just a ring and the bones pull right out while still leaving a great chew to the meat which can elude many supposed BBQ joints) the real highlight though was Collards which were perfectly seasoned and cooked. If you are North of Atlanta and looking for comfortable food in a family establishment don’t cheat yourself, come and eat your self.

I am from DC and travel to Atlanta frequently for work trips…. And every trip I stop here on the last night of the trip to eat here… absolutely one of my favorite places to eat in Atlanta/Sandy Springs

Felt really old school southern vibe. Honestly I really appreciate the interior bc if you have been in GA for any good length of time you’ll know that a lot has changed.
The food was pretty good, I gotta come back and try the smoked chicken salad sandwich. I wanna try the baked beans and other sides.

Ordered a BBQ pork sandwich w/ baked beans and green beans for delivery to State Farm. Everything was amazing. Great portions, taste, and service by packing the bun, pork and sauce separately to prevent sogginess. It was so good I forgot to snap a photo.

The pork needed flavor, the potato salad needed more mustard or spice, the coleslaw needed more vinegar. The fries were good. It’s okay but could be better.

We used to eat here about once a week when we lived in Sandy Springs. We have moved away but always Schedule time to visit and have lunch when we’re in town. The food and the service is great.

This place was previously named slopes and that’s how I found it since I love the slopes Roswell location. The owner is super friendly and the brisket I think is even better than the Roswell Slopes and the best BBQ in town. The mega brisket sandwich with coleslaw is the way to go. I had baked beans and coleslaw husband. The kids had chicken sandwiches with tater tots and Mac n cheese. Husband agrees it’s the best BBQ since we moved here from New Orleans. It’s nice they have catering as well. Menus attached for reference. I think the price is very reasonable for the quality is amazing.

This may be one of the last true individually owned and operated restaurants out there. It’s a family-run place that clearly cares about every guest’s experience. The warm, welcoming atmosphere makes you feel like you truly belong the moment you step through the door. On top of that, the food is absolutely fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and made with care. A rare gem that reminds you what dining out should feel like.
