We had a great dining experience at McCormick & Schmick’s in Philadelphia. We celebrated Christmas. I’ve ordered the ribeye, and it was excellent—perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor. The quality of the steak really stood out and met all expectations.
The atmosphere was inviting, and the overall experience was very enjoyable. Definitely a solid choice for a great meal in the city, and a place I would happily visit again.

Disappointing from the door. I made a reservation weeks ago but they apparently overbooked, there were a dozen people waiting when we arrived at 6:50 for our 7:00 res. Once seated it took a server forever to get to us, and equally long for everything to arrive (drinks, salads, entrees, etc.) They were out of the drink my girlfriend first ordered. Our food was lukewarm at best – my girlfriend’s salmon was cold. We ordered the large truffle mac & cheese, we got a small. There were 2 or 3 walnut pieces in the salad, and barely any truffles in the mac & cheese. The good: our waiter was very nice, professional, and congenial, the food was still tasty even though cold, the place looks really nice. But it was WAY overpriced for what we got. Overall I’d say it was a less than adequate dining experience. My advice; go to Ocean Prime instead.

Becky consistently provides an outstanding level of service that significantly enhances my visits. Her remarkable ability to anticipate and recall individual customer preferences is truly impressive. Upon my arrival, she frequently remembers my precise order without prompting, a testament to her exceptional attentiveness and dedication to her craft. This personalized service has not only delighted me but has also garnered admiration from my companions, who are consistently impressed by her memory and customer-centric approach.
Beyond remembering my own preferences, Becky extends her meticulous attention to detail to all patrons, including recalling specific non-alcoholic requests for my 12-year-old. This demonstrates a level of care and professionalism that is rarely encountered.
Her presence undoubtedly elevates the overall customer experience. I find myself genuinely looking forward to visits when I know she will be working, and her absence is distinctly noticeable. Having frequented numerous establishments both locally and internationally, I can confidently state that Becky’s unique blend of warmth, efficiency, and personalized service sets a benchmark that few can match. She is an invaluable asset to your team.

Came for a private event upstairs, the service was super slow for a soda water. The venue was super nice and well located too! The salad was tasty, the walnuts were pleasantly sweet. The chicken dish was mediocre at best, tiny portion, the chicken was flavorless, white and bland looking. Must have been cooked sous vide because it was well cooked, but lacked flavor! To finish the crème brûlée left a lot to be desired; half of the sugar on top was browned, the other half was loose. Could have been a new chef?? Definitely not what I was expecting from this spot

Everything about this establishment is beautiful. Out waiter, Nikita was super respectful, attentive, and has a great overall knowledge of the menu. I came in for a girls night dinner with my best friend and it did not disappoint. I got the simply grilled swordfish topped with lemon butter and crab. Th glass of moscato was a very nice pairing. Overall has dim lighting and perfect for date night. first time here and will be back!

Recently at Harrah’s Resort (Atlantic City, NJ) for an event…I took a small group for dinner. We had reservations, got there on-time pleasantly greeted, no wait to be seated. Coincidentally, our group was seated in the same area at same table and greeted by the same server from a visit a year ago (at the same event). We all had a great drinks, appetizers and delicious dinners. The sesame crusted tuna was outstanding, steaks cooked perfectly. The service was outstanding (Drew) is great; friendly, courteous…very knowledgable with the menu…always has excellent recommendations. Thanks Drew and the whole staff for a nice experience.

I sincerely hope the leadership team sees this and takes it serious. Let me start this by saying, I can completely understand being busy. Last night, Saturday, me and my buddy were looking for a nice steakhouse. We’ve ate at most of them in Center City so we decided to try one We’ve never tried. We sat at the bar. Camera footage wood probably prove we waited close to 10 minutes before we were even acknowledged with a simple “hello.” This of course after three employees behind the bar shuffled back-and-forth numerous times. 1. When we were ready to order, the gentleman was looking at us, so we figured it was our time to order. My buddy asked, “may we please put an order in?” And the employee puts his hands up waved them down, motioning the signal, “calm down, give me a little bit of time.” 2. When we finally were able to put an order in and received the food, I can tell it would’ve been great. But everything was cold. First time I ate Wagyu sirloin and a New York strip cold to the touch at a steakhouse. Furthermore, both the potatoes and the broccolini were cold as well. The mac & cheese was actually the only warm thing. 3. When we ask for our checks, we did ask to split. The female bartender was visibly upset and bothered. My buddy doesn’t have the greatest eyesight and he picked up both of his seats and asked, which one is the alcohol? She said “it should say right there” and motioned towards the receipt. That didn’t help him, so he shuffled through the receipts, looking at them very closely, because his vision is shot. Not your Bartender’s fault, but with the attitude, and the lack of Customer Service, just made it very unprofessional.
Overall, I’m sure you guys are doing fine. You’re at a prime location, with a good name. Could’ve been a one off night for the employees, I’m not sure. Definitely not the type of experience I thought a McCormick and Schmicks is known for. Gave two stars because the drinks and the ambience were great.

I am a Japanese living in New York. During a trip to Philadelphia, I stopped by this restaurant for dinner without a reservation.
The first thing I noticed was that clearly underdressed Asian customers were not particularly welcomed. To be fair, we were wearing pretty casual “hockey foodie–style” outfits, which probably did not help. We assumed the restaurant was relatively casual, but apparently, that was a misunderstanding. I suspect we were quickly categorized as “low-tip-potential customers.”
As expected, we had to wait a bit before a waiter came, and afterward, we were not checked on very frequently. That said, to be fair, the staff remained polite on the surface.
We ordered the Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail, Seafood Alfredo, Ribeye Steak, and Wagyu Carpaccio. Everything except the Seafood Alfredo was acceptable, but nothing was particularly memorable. The shrimp did not taste very clean, and the meat dishes were fine but unremarkable. The Seafood Alfredo was the most disappointing. I was expecting a creamy pasta with rich seafood umami, but it was simply salty and lacking in depth.
One positive point is that, compared to New York prices, all dishes felt relatively affordable.
I regret to say that I did not leave a generous tip. In the end, I suppose I became exactly the kind of customer the staff had expected me to be.

Was always my favorite place for seafood. Waitress was pleasant, but we were told they were short staffed. When my lobster bisque was placed in front of me I asked for black pepper, never got it.
When I received my ahi tuna, I asked for wisabi and got it after I was finished with my meal.
