Went in tonight to grab a few drinks. The place was clean with a great laid back vibe. The tvs were not playing sports but movies which was a welcome change for once. Joseph, the bartender, was very attentive and nice. Ordered some fries and they were nice, hot, and crisp. Joseph told us that they do different nights (one being Tiny Desk Concerts) so we plan to come by for more. Music was more to our taste than what most places play. This is a great place for anyone who just really wants to go to a bar that isn’t trying hard to be something else. Definitely a neighborhood spot.

Had a great time with friends and good food! The fish and chips was so good and our entire table agreed the fries were perfect, just enough crispy/salt/potato ratio. Had a Guinness of course. The staff was laid back, you go to the bar to order and the bartender was a sweetheart. Foosball table in the back really put the cherry on top! The ambiance was nice, but I’m definitely going to go check it out on a busier night as it could’ve been more lovely.

Played many a show here and always had a blast packing out that room upstairs. The bar and food are wonderful. The owners are also great people. I think if you don’t understand the ethos they are currently presenting, then maybe you never looked at or listened to the other folks around you in this fine establishment. Self reflection brings joy, as does McCormack’s great staff and hospitality.

Always had the most enjoyable time here. Metal Mondays weren’t exactly to my liking musically but giving bands more opportunities to be seen/heard is A+ by me. Try to get here each and every time I am in Richmond. Hope more people check out a real punk bar.
